Overview

The Vimar Eikon is an RJ11 socket outlet for fixed telephone-line connections in Eikon modular installations. It uses a 6-position, 4-conductor (6/4) RJ11 format with screw terminals, is specified for UAE/IAE (ISDN) use, and is built as a 1-module insert measuring 22.3 x 49 x 43.1 mm.

It is a flush-mounted unit with clamp fastening and an IP20 rating, so it belongs in protected interior spaces rather than exposed deck or washdown areas. The body is plastic with halogen-free thermoplastic construction, and the visible finish changes by variant.

On board, this type of outlet makes sense where a cabin, chart table, service area, or enclosed helm console already uses Eikon modular plates and needs a clean telephone connection point. It is also a straightforward fit for refit work where screw-terminal termination is preferred during panel wiring.

Variants

This product is offered in multiple color configurations built around the same RJ11 6/4 insert.

Across the range, the connection format, screw-terminal layout, 1-module size, flush-mount arrangement, IP20 rating, and overall dimensions stay the same. What changes between variants is the visible color and, in the silver version, the surface treatment.

• VM20320.B: White. White front in a matt finish with a similar RAL 9016 tone; it keeps the same wiring format, footprint, and mounting arrangement as the other versions.
• VM20320.N: Silver. Silver front with a matt lacquered surface and a similar RAL 9022 tone; it changes the visible finish without changing the terminal layout or body size.
• VM20320: Grey. Grey front in a matt finish with a similar RAL 7024 tone; it suits darker interior trims while keeping the same insert format and installation method.

Compatibility and fit

This insert is built for Vimar Eikon modular installations and is sold here as a color range around the same core RJ11 outlet. It does not include a support ring, dust cover, hinged lid, or imprint, so it fits projects where those parts are handled by the surrounding Eikon mounting and cover system.

It is a good match for interior refits and new panel layouts that already specify Eikon devices and need a telephone outlet that stays visually consistent with the rest of the switchgear.

Installation and onboard use

Screw terminals are practical for fixed wiring during joinery and panel work because conductors can be cut and terminated on site without a prewired lead. The flush-mounted body also helps keep the finished panel face clean in cabins and other enclosed living spaces.

Because the protection level is IP20, this outlet should stay in dry accommodation spaces or other sheltered interiors. It is not the right choice for open cockpits, exposed bulkheads, or any location that sees spray, washdowns, or regular condensation.
