Garmin BlueChart g3 Vision HD Coastal Electronic Chart, VUS011R Southwest Florida, Crystal River to Key Largo, Auto Guidance, High-Resolution Shaded Relief, 1 ft Contours, Up to 10 Depth Ranges, Satellite Imagery, 3D Views, NOAA Raster Charts
Overview
The Garmin BlueChart g3 Vision HD is a Southwest Florida coastal electronic chart (VUS011R) for compatible Garmin chartplotters, covering Crystal River through Key Largo, including Tampa Bay, Ft. Myers, Lake Okeechobee, Florida Bay, Key West, and the Dry Tortugas.
It adds detail that matters when you are threading marked channels, working shallow flats, or lining up a marina entrance in changing light. In many areas you will see up to 1 ft contours for bottom detail, plus depth range shading with up to 10 depth ranges so common target depths are easier to spot at a glance.
This is map data for your plotter, not a standalone navigation app. Features such as Auto Guidance use your entered depth and overhead clearance to suggest a route, but you still need to confirm the path against real conditions, local notices, and what you see on the water.
Key features
- Coverage for Southwest Florida waters from Crystal River through Key Largo, including Tampa Bay, Lake Okeechobee, Florida Bay, Key West, and the Dry Tortugas
- Auto Guidance routing that uses your selected depth and overhead clearance to calculate a suggested path
- High-resolution relief shading in supported areas for a clearer read on bottom structure than contour lines alone
- Depth range shading with up to 10 ranges to help highlight target depth bands
- Up to 1 ft contours in supported areas for more precise fishing and navigation detail
- 3D chart views (MarinerEye and FishEye) and satellite imagery overlays for added situational awareness where supported by your chartplotter
- NOAA raster cartography view available on compatible devices in supported areas
Variants
This chart is offered in multiple formats so it can match how your boat is set up.
The chart region and core content stay the same, and the difference is how you receive and load the mapping data.
- 010-C0712-00: Format microSD/SD. Preloaded card that installs by inserting it into the chartplotter’s microSD or SD card slot.
- 010-D0471-00: Format Download. Downloadable format that is delivered through Garmin Express and written to an SD card for use in a compatible chartplotter.
Compatibility and fit
This cartography is intended for Garmin chartplotters that support BlueChart g3 Vision mapping. Your unit needs an available microSD or SD card slot, and it must support the Vision feature set for items like 3D views, imagery overlays, and advanced shading to appear.
If your helm is networked, the plotter that holds the card is the one that reads the chart data, so plan card placement around where you normally navigate from. If you already have built-in charts, this card adds a different layer of detail and presentation for the same waters rather than replacing your GPS antenna, compass, or safety practices.
Installation and setup
For the microSD/SD card version, power the chartplotter down, insert the card fully, then restart and select the chart layer from the chartplotter’s chart setup pages. For the download version, use Garmin Express to place the mapping on an SD card, then insert that card into the chartplotter to access the charts.
On the water, take a minute to set your preferred depth shading and any shallow-water shading level that matches your draft and comfort margin. That setup is what makes the depth-based features useful when you are running unfamiliar bars, passes, and backwater routes.
Use on board
This chart is a good match for boaters who spend time in Southwest Florida’s mix of open water, bays, and skinny-water cuts, where bottom shape and quick depth readouts help with route decisions. Anglers also benefit from tighter contour detail when working ledges, channels, and flats around Tampa Bay, Charlotte Harbor, and the Keys side of this coverage area.
