Overview

The Lopolight 301-101 Series is a 3 NM green starboard sidelight with a vertical mount for vessels over 50 m (164 ft). It runs on 10-32 VDC, so it suits both 12 V and 24 V DC systems, and it carries an IP68 rating for wet decks, washdowns, and weather exposure.

This is a 112.5 degree starboard light with intensity rated over 15 cd. Single stack versions use a 92.5 x 28 x 49.7 mm body, while double stack versions use a 100 x 100 x 49.7 mm body. The light is supplied pre-cabled with a 2.5 m shielded lead for routing into the structure before making your final connections.

Approvals include COLREG72 and EN14744, with additional approvals listed for IEC 60945, IACS E10, USCG, ABS, M.E.D., DNV, and LR.

Variants

This series is offered with different housing finishes and in two housing styles: Single Stack and Double Stack.

Finish options include Silver, Black, and White. The stack style changes the housing footprint and the space you have for cable routing behind the mounting surface, while the core function stays the same: a green starboard sidelight with 3 NM visibility, 10-32 VDC operation, IP68 sealing, and vertical mounting.

Installation and setup

Mount the light on the starboard side where it has an unobstructed view across its 112.5 degree sector. Keep the body square and truly vertical, then route the pre-attached cable into a dry interior space before making splices or terminations. Any hull or house penetration should be sealed to suit your build and the mounting location.

Electrical hookup is straightforward on 10-32 VDC systems. Confirm polarity at the connection point and protect the wiring in a way that matches your vessel standards and the circuit already feeding navigation lights.

Materials and corrosion resistance

The housing is aluminum with a finish that matches the variant (anodized on Silver and Black, ceramic coated on White). The lens uses PMMA, and the supplied mounting screws are stainless. The IP68 rating supports use in exposed locations where spray, rain, and deck wash are part of normal operation.
