Overview
The Lopolight 301-101 Series is a starboard sidelight that shows green for vessels over 50 m, with 3 NM visibility, a 112.5° sector, and a vertical mount. It runs on 10 to 32 VDC and is rated IP68, with a 6 m cable lead already fitted for easier routing to your nav light circuit.
This series is offered in single stack and double stack bodies, with either a silver anodized finish or a black anodized finish. The single stack housing measures 92.5 x 28 x 49.7 mm and weighs about 0.6 kg, while the double stack housing measures 100 x 100 x 49.7 mm and weighs about 1.35 kg.
Key features
- 3 NM starboard sidelight that shows green, with a 112.5° sector and intensity over 15 cd
- Vertical mount with a factory-fitted 6 m cable lead
- Runs on 10 to 32 VDC, so it fits 12 V and 24 V DC systems
- IP68-rated housing for rain, spray, and washdowns
- Draws 2.3 W (about 180 mA at 12 V, 100 mA at 24 V)
- Housing in anodized aluminum (25 µm) with a PMMA lens and A4 stainless steel mounting screws
- Approved to COLREG72, EN14744, IEC 60945, IACS E10, USCG, ABS, M.E.D., DNV, and LR
- Operating temperature from -25°C to 55°C; minimum feed wire gauge 0.5 mm2 (AWG 22)
Variants
This product is offered in multiple configurations to match your preferred housing finish and whether you need a single stack or a double stack assembly.
Across the range, the light output remains a green starboard sector (112.5°) with 3 NM visibility, 10 to 32 VDC input, IP68 sealing, 2.3 W draw, vertical mounting, and a 6 m cable lead. The main differences are the finish (silver anodized or black anodized) and the body format (single stack or double stack), which also changes the overall housing size and weight.
- 301-101 6M: Finish: Silver; Style: Single Stack. This keeps the slimmer single-light body with a silver anodized look that matches bare aluminum and many painted superstructures.
- 301-101-B 6M: Finish: Black; Style: Single Stack. This keeps the slimmer single-light body with a black anodized finish that blends in on darker hull sides and hardtops.
- 301-101ST 6M: Finish: Silver; Style: Double Stack. This combines two green starboard sidelights in one vertical assembly when a stacked arrangement is required for your installation layout.
- 301-101ST-B 6M: Finish: Black; Style: Double Stack. This combines two green starboard sidelights in one vertical assembly, paired with a black anodized finish for lower visual contrast on dark structures.
What’s included
- 1 navigation light
- 2 mounting screws (M6 x 8 mm)
- Installation guide
Installation and setup
Mount the unit vertically on the starboard side in a location that maintains a clear 112.5° arc without rails, tenders, or deck gear blocking the light. Use a proper bedding method for your mounting surface and route the 6 m cable with a drip loop and chafe protection where it passes through bulkheads or brackets.
Electrical and system integration
Power is 10 to 32 VDC, which suits common 12 V and 24 V DC nav light circuits. Plan for 2.3 W draw and size wiring to at least 0.5 mm2 (AWG 22) or larger for longer runs, then protect the circuit with an appropriately sized fuse or breaker for your vessel’s wiring scheme.
Materials and corrosion resistance
The housing is aluminum with a 25 µm anodized finish (silver or black depending on variant), paired with a PMMA lens and A4 stainless steel mounting screws. With an IP68 rating, it suits exposed mounting locations that see salt spray and routine washdowns when installed with good sealing and strain relief.
Use cases on board
This light is a good match for larger yachts and commercial vessels over 50 m that need a 3 NM green starboard sidelight on a vertical mount. It also fits refits where you want an IP68-rated light on a 12 V or 24 V DC system without adding external drivers or converters.
Maintenance and care
Rinse the housing and lens with fresh water after heavy salt exposure and clean the lens with mild soap to avoid hazing. During routine checks, confirm the mounting fasteners stay tight and the cable entry remains sealed and strain-relieved.
