Overview

The Lopolight 301-001 Series is a vertical-mount starboard sidelight that shows a green 112.5° sector with 2 NM visibility. It is used as the starboard running light in a navigation-light set.

It runs on 10-32 VDC for 12 V and 24 V systems, and it draws about 1.4 W (about 110 mA at 12 V and 60 mA at 24 V). The housing measures 92.5 x 28 x 49.7 mm, and the unit is supplied with an extended 6 m cable to make routing back to your switch panel simpler on larger boats.

This is a good match for cruising sailboats, motor yachts, and refits where you want an LED sidelight with low current draw and a compact footprint.

Variants

This range is offered in two housing finishes. The light color, vertical mounting style, and 6 m cable length stay consistent across the options.

The finish choice mainly affects how the light blends with surrounding hardware and the boat’s exterior.

• 301-001-6M: Finish Silver. Silver anodized housing that pairs well with stainless and silver-toned fittings.
• 301-001-B-6M: Finish Black. Black anodized housing that tends to disappear against darker topsides and trim.

Compatibility and fit

This is the starboard (green) sidelight only. It is typically paired with a matching port (red) sidelight and a stern light to complete the set.

2 NM sidelights are commonly specified for larger vessels; confirm the required range for your boat length and operating area before installation.

Installation and wiring

Mount the light vertically on the starboard side so the lens faces forward and the cut-off lines align with the vessel centerline. Keep the fixture clear of rails, canvas, and other structures that can block the arc.

Route the 6 m cable to a dry connection point above the waterline, and make splices with marine-grade heat-shrink terminations. Feed it from a breaker or fuse that matches your vessel’s wiring standards and the length of the run.

Materials and corrosion resistance

The housing is anodized aluminum and the lens is PMMA, with stainless mounting screws for typical saltwater exposure. The IP68 rating supports mounting locations that see spray and frequent washdowns.

After installation, support the cable so it does not chafe, and avoid hard bends where it exits the housing.

Maintenance and care

Rinse salt and grime off during routine washdowns, and re-check fasteners and cable support after the first few runs and after heavy vibration or pounding seas.
