Overview

The Victron Energy GX Touch is a touchscreen display accessory for the Cerbo GX, offered in 5-inch and 7-inch sizes for local monitoring and control of a Victron power system. It gives the helm, nav station, electrical locker, or cabin panel a dedicated screen for checking battery state of charge, power consumption, solar harvest, generator status, mains input, tank levels, and temperature values when those sources are connected through the Cerbo GX.

The display connects to the Cerbo GX with a single 2 m cable, which keeps dashboard wiring simple compared with running multiple system wires to the panel. Both GX Touch sizes are built for top or wall mounting with included mounting accessories, and the standard GX Touch versions carry an IP54 rating without connectors.

Variants

This product is offered in two display sizes. The main difference between the variants is the screen size, with each version using its own resolution and outer dimensions.

Both variants are standard GX Touch displays for the Cerbo GX, use a 2 m cable, and are listed for top or wall mounting with included mounting accessories.

• BPP900455050: Display Size 5-inch. This GX Touch 50 version has an 800 x 480 display resolution and outer dimensions of 87 x 128 x 12.4 mm, making it a good fit where panel space is limited but a fixed Cerbo GX screen is still useful.
• BPP900455070: Display Size 7-inch. This GX Touch 70 version has a 1024 x 600 display resolution and outer dimensions of 113 x 176 x 13.5 mm, giving more screen area for checking system information from a helm, nav desk, or larger electrical panel.

Installation and setup

The GX Touch is meant to sit where the crew can read and operate the Cerbo GX easily, such as near the main DC distribution area, at the inside helm, or at a navigation station. Because it bolts on top of the mounting surface, the installation does not require a finely finished display cut-out in the same way a flush-mounted screen would.

For marine installations, keep the display in a protected position where it can be reached without exposing connectors to direct spray. The 2 m cable should be routed with strain relief and kept clear of sharp edges, high-heat engine room surfaces, and moving locker panels.

System use on board

On a cruising boat, fishing vessel, or liveaboard system, the GX Touch is useful when the electrical system has grown beyond a simple battery monitor. It lets the crew check charge sources, loads, tanks, and alerts from one fixed screen, which is helpful before leaving the dock, while running on inverter power, or when managing solar and generator charging at anchor.

This display is a strong match for boats already using a Cerbo GX as the system hub and needing a clean local control point rather than relying only on remote access.
