Overview
The Vimar Eikon 20095 is a 4-position slide switch for fan-coil speed control on 250 V AC circuits. Across this range, it is rated at 1P 6(2) A 250 V~, uses a flush-mounted body, and is built in thermoplastic with a matt finish and halogen-free construction.
For marine interiors, this type of switch makes sense where a boat uses fan-coil air conditioning and needs simple stepped speed control at the cabin or saloon control point. Its IP40 rating suits dry interior spaces, so it belongs in areas kept away from spray, washdowns, and open-weather exposure.
Key features
- 4-position slide control for stepped fan-coil speed adjustment
- 1P 6(2) A electrical rating at 250 V~
- Flush-mounted format for built-in wall or panel installations
- IP40 protection for interior locations that stay dry
- Thermoplastic body with halogen-free construction and a matt surface
- Available in Grey, White, and Silver finishes in this range
Variants
This listing covers three finish options for the same Eikon fan-coil slide switch.
Across the variants, the switching function, 4-position layout, and 1P 6(2) A 250 V~ rating stay the same. The visible finish is what changes.
- VM20095.B: Color White. This finish blends easily into light cabin liners, bulkheads, and accommodation-space switch panels.
- VM20095.N: Color Silver. This option gives the control a lighter metallic-style appearance for more contemporary interior joinery.
- VM20095: Color Grey. This darker finish suits technical-looking interiors and spaces already fitted with grey Eikon devices.
Installation and fit
This switch is meant for a flush-mounted installation, so it should be used in an interior electrical box or panel position that stays protected. On board, that usually means cabins, saloons, or other enclosed accommodation areas rather than exterior helm stations, open decks, or wet utility spaces.
The main fit check is the control circuit itself. This is a 250 V fan-coil speed switch, so it should be matched to the boat's AC climate-control wiring and not confused with 12V or 24V DC accessory switching.
Use on board
It is a good match for boats that use separate fan-coil controls in the living spaces and want a simple manual speed selector instead of a more complex control interface. It also works well as a like-for-like replacement when the interior is already built around the Vimar Eikon device range.
