Overview
The Lumitec Zambezi Quattro is a surface-mount underwater LED light rated IP68 that runs on 10-30 V DC. Output is rated at 2,000 lumens, and the electronics are self-contained so there is no external controller to mount.
It draws about 2.1 A on a 12 V system or 1.1 A on a 24 V system, and the compact body measures roughly 3.82 in in diameter by 1.52 in deep. The bronze finish suits transoms and brackets that live in the water and see regular washdowns.
A self-isolating back spacer separates the housing from metallic mounting surfaces, which helps reduce galvanic corrosion concerns on aluminum transoms and accessory brackets. Thermal foldback allows the light to run above water without heat damage when the boat is on a lift or sitting at the dock.
Key features
- 10-30 V DC input for 12 V and 24 V systems; draws about 2.1 A at 12 V or 1.1 A at 24 V
- IP68-rated, sealed construction with a self-contained driver and no external control box
- Surface-mount installation that avoids a large through-hull cutout
- Self-isolating back spacer separates the housing from metallic mounting surfaces to help reduce galvanic corrosion risk
- Rated 2,000 lumens in a 3.82 in diameter by 1.52 in deep body
- TTP enabled for mode changes using standard on and off toggling; not Poco system compatible
- Thermal foldback supports above-water operation when hauled, lifted, or beached
Variants
This light is offered in multiple configurations that share the same mounting style and power requirements.
The difference between options is the light color output. Voltage range, housing style, and overall footprint remain consistent across the range.
- 101460: Light color: RGBW. This version supports full-color output with a white channel for general illumination alongside color effects.
- 101459: Light color: White/Blue. This dual-color version switches between white and blue to match dock work, cruising, or nighttime ambiance.
Installation and setup
Because the body is surface mounted, it can be installed on a transom, bracket, or dock face without cutting a large hole. Plan the cable route so the lead is supported and protected from chafe, and bed the mounting area so water cannot migrate into fastener holes.
Underwater lights sit in a harsh spot on the boat. Keep bonding and anodes in good shape, avoid stray current issues, and rinse the exterior after hauling when the boat is used in salt water.
Electrical and control integration
Connect to a 10-30 V DC circuit with overcurrent protection sized for your wire gauge and run length. The stated current draw helps when selecting switchgear and breaker size, especially when installing multiple lights on one circuit.
TTP control lets the light change modes using standard on and off toggling. When installing more than one light, consistent wiring and switching helps keep behavior predictable from one fixture to the next.
Compatibility and fit
This model is commonly used on larger pontoons, aluminum skiffs, and floating docks where a bronze surface-mount light makes more sense than a recessed fixture. It is also a good match for boats that spend time on a lift, since thermal foldback supports operation above water without heat damage.
