Overview
The Garmin Marine Network Adapter Cable is a short adapter used when a Garmin device has one network connector style and your existing Garmin Marine Network cabling uses another.
It keeps the connection in the Garmin Marine Network ecosystem, so you can reuse an installed cable run without cutting or re-terminating anything. On the small female right-angle to large female configuration, the adapter length is 30 cm (11.8 in), which helps when the port is tucked under a radar dome or behind a mounted display.
Both ends are female, so the adapter changes the connector interface rather than acting like an extension with a mating plug.
Key features
- Female-to-female adapter for Garmin Marine Network connections when connector styles do not match
- Right-angle option on the small female end to help with tight clearances behind equipment
- 30 cm (11.8 in) length on the small female right-angle to large female configuration for tidy installs near the device
- Lets you keep long cable runs as standard Garmin Marine Network cables, using the adapter only where needed
- No splicing or crimping required, the connection stays at the factory connector interfaces
- Supports clean refits where newer network hardware needs to interface with legacy Garmin Marine Network cabling through the correct adapter path
Variants
This adapter cable is offered in multiple connector configurations.
The main difference across the options is whether the small female end is a right-angle style, and the connector type being adapted between Garmin network generations.
- 010-13094-00: Right angle: Yes. The right-angle small female end helps maintain bend radius and reduces strain when the connection sits close to a bulkhead, bracket, or dome base.
- 010-12531-11: Right angle: No. This version adapts an RJ45 female Garmin Marine Network connection to a BlueNet female connection and is used for BlueNet-to-legacy interfaces where a BlueNet 30 gateway is still required.
Compatibility and fit
Garmin Marine Network cabling uses dedicated connectors and collars that are not interchangeable with standard Ethernet patch cords. This adapter is intended for Garmin network ports and matching Garmin network cables.
Before ordering, confirm the connector type on the device port you are adapting and the connector on the cable you need to mate to. On radar scanners and other network modules mounted in tight spaces, the right-angle configuration can make routing easier by keeping the cable exit direction controlled.
Installation and setup
Install the adapter at the device end that needs converting, then connect your existing Garmin Marine Network cable to the other end and route the run as normal. Support the cable so the connector is not carrying weight, and avoid tight bends right at the connector housing.
In wet lockers and exposed mounting areas, keep connections out of standing water and fully tighten the collar so the seal can do its job.
Use cases on board
This is a practical fit when you are adding or replacing a Garmin radar or network module and the connector on the device does not match the cable already installed in the boat. It also helps during electronics refits where parts of the network are upgraded and you need a clean way to bridge connector generations without re-running long cable lengths.
