Overview
The Perko 1318DPGBLK is a combination vented gas fill and tank vent for boats using a 1-1/2 inch fuel fill hose and a 5/8 inch vent hose. It combines the deck fuel fill and vent function in one black polymer fitting, with a 35° angled neck that helps the hose run cleanly below deck where space is tight.
This fill uses a flip top cap, so no deck plate key is needed at the fuel dock. The integral tank vent includes a flame arrestor, and the neck length is 2-7/16 inches with mounting for #10 screws. It is made for gasoline fuel systems that require a vented fill, while keeping the deck layout cleaner than separate fill and vent fittings.
Key features
- Combination gas fill and tank vent reduces the need for a separate deck vent fitting.
- Fits 1-1/2 inch fuel fill hose and 5/8 inch vent hose for common marine gasoline tank installations.
- 35° angled neck helps route the fuel hose below deck without forcing a sharp bend.
- Black polymer construction suits installations where a low-glare, dark deck fitting is preferred.
- Integral tank vent includes a flame arrestor for gasoline fuel system use.
- Flip top cap allows fueling without a deck plate key.
- No ground wire is required for installation.
- Uses #10 mounting screws and has a 2-7/16 inch neck length.
- Meets USCG gasoline fuel system requirements under 33 CFR 183, but is not for installations that require 40 CFR 1060 emissions compliance.
Installation and fit
This fitting is intended for deck or gunwale locations where the fill hose can lead from the fitting to the tank without kinking. The 35° neck is useful on sloped deck surfaces and in compartments where a straight-neck fill would make the hose path too tight.
Confirm the existing fuel fill hose size, vent hose size, available clearance below the mounting surface, and screw pattern before replacing an old fill. Fuel hose and vent hose should be routed and clamped according to marine fuel system practice, with attention to low spots where fuel or water could collect.
Use on board
This part is a practical match for small powerboats, center consoles, runabouts, and other gasoline-powered vessels that use a vented deck fill for a built-in fuel tank. It works well when the owner wants a simple fuel deck fitting with a hinged cap and an integrated vent rather than separate fill and vent hardware.
Because this is a gasoline fuel system component, it should be installed only in applications that match the hose sizes and regulatory requirements of the vessel. For newer evaporative emissions systems, confirm whether the boat requires EPA 40 CFR 1060 compliant hardware before ordering.
