Overview

The Blue Sea Systems 2020 is a compact DC power busbar for bringing two heavy-current cable terminations to one common connection point on board. It uses two 3/8"-16 studs, is rated up to 200A, and is suitable for DC systems up to 48V.

The bus is made from tin-plated copper CDA 110/UNS11000 and sits on a UL 94-V0 glass reinforced thermoplastic base. In a marine electrical system, that makes it a practical fit for battery, charger, inverter, or negative return connections where space is limited and you want a clean, direct junction that is easy to inspect.

Installation and setup

This busbar works well when two large conductors need to share a common landing point without moving up to a longer multi-stud bar. Typical installations include battery compartments, DC distribution lockers, inverter and charger runs, and return-side connections near a panel.

Because the connection is made on 3/8"-16 studs, it matches ring terminals commonly used on larger marine cable. As with any high-current connection, cable size, terminal fit, and circuit protection should be matched to the actual load in the system.
