Overview
The Blue Sea Systems Water-Resistant 100A BusBar is a covered common busbar for organizing 100A AC or DC distribution in wet or exposed areas of a boat. It gives installers a compact point for positive distribution, negative collection, or AC grounding circuits where splash, washdown, and bilge-area humidity make an uncovered busbar a poor fit.
The busbar is rated for 100A continuous service on AC or DC circuits, with maximum voltage ratings of 300V AC and 48V DC. It uses a tin-plated C11000 copper bus, one #10-32 terminal stud, and four #8-32 terminal screws, with wire capacity for one 8 AWG to 4 AWG input and four 16 AWG to 10 AWG load connections.

Variants
This busbar is offered in two cover configurations. Both are part of the same Water-Resistant 100A BusBar family and share the same core electrical role for covered marine power distribution.
The cover type is the main difference between the configurations. The manual-cover version adds wing screws for tool-free cover installation, which is useful where the cover may need to be removed during service or inspection.
- 2356, cover type: Standard. This configuration suits installations where a covered 100A busbar is needed and routine access to the cover is not the main concern.
- 2356100, cover type: Manual Cover. This configuration uses wing screws for tool-free cover handling, which can make service access simpler while keeping the covered layout.
Installation and setup
Install the busbar on a firm, dry mounting surface inside an electrical panel, console, locker, or equipment area where the conductors can enter cleanly without strain. The single-side nesting layout helps keep wire runs organized when several covered distribution components are mounted together.
Use correctly sized marine conductors, terminals, and circuit protection for the connected loads. The busbar is a distribution point, so upstream protection, cable sizing, and separation of positive, negative, and AC grounding circuits should match the vessel’s electrical plan.
