Overview

The Vimar Eikon 20248 is a 2-module SICURY socket outlet for 2P+E 16 A, 250 V AC service with a polarized Euro-American format. It is used where a flush-mounted outlet is needed in a Vimar Eikon installation and the circuit is part of the boat's AC system rather than a 12 V or 24 V DC network.

This outlet uses screwed terminals and measures 44.8 x 49 x 36 mm. It is halogen-free, finished with a matt surface, and rated IP20, so it belongs in dry interior spaces such as cabins, saloons, galleys, or enclosed helm areas rather than open deck or washdown locations.

Enhanced contact protection and a front label space make it easier to integrate into organized onboard panels where safety and clear circuit identification matter.

Variants

This outlet is offered in three color configurations within the same Eikon 20248 range.

The electrical rating, dimensions, 2-module format, flush-mount installation, screwed-terminal connection, and IP20 protection stay the same across all three versions. The change is the visible finish: grey and white use a matt untreated surface, while the silver version uses a matt lacquered surface.

• VM20248.B: White finish. This version keeps the outlet visually discreet on light bulkheads, liners, and interior trim.
• VM20248.N: Silver finish. The matt lacquered surface gives it a more metallic look on darker or contemporary switch panels.
• VM20248: Grey finish. The neutral grey appearance suits technical-looking panels and darker joinery.

Compatibility and fit

This outlet is made for the Vimar Eikon module system and occupies 2 modules in the matching support and cover plate arrangement. It is a practical fit for refits and new builds that already use Eikon devices and need a combined Euro-American outlet format on the AC side of the boat.

Because it is IP20, it is better suited to protected interior mounting points than to cockpits, transoms, wet lockers, or other areas that see spray, washdowns, or direct weather exposure.
