Overview
The Raymarine Micronet is a wireless instrument display range with remote display and starter system configurations for sailboats that use Raymarine Wireless instruments or NMEA 0183 data sources. The T113 remote display works as a handheld, solar-powered multifunction repeater and remote control, while the T106 starter system adds the T122 Wireless NMEA Interface for bringing wired onboard data into the Micronet network.
This range is built around a simple onboard job: putting sailing data where the helm or crew can actually see it without pulling display wiring through the boat or up the mast. The T113 can show network data such as wind trends, speed trends, VMG to wind and waypoint, SOG, COG, performance graphing, and race timer information on a dot-matrix multi-line display.
For boats with existing NMEA 0183 electronics, the T106 starter system gives a practical bridge between wired devices and Raymarine wireless instruments. The T122 interface supports NMEA 0183 version 2.30, has 2 input channels and 1 output channel, and runs from the boat’s DC power system.
Key features
- Wireless Micronet operation keeps instrument data available without running a dedicated cable to the handheld display.
- T113 remote display controls, configures, and repeats data from compatible Raymarine Wireless displays on the Micronet network.
- Solar-powered T113 display with integrated lithium batteries reduces battery-change concerns during normal sailing use.
- Multi-line dot-matrix display supports sailing data pages including wind, speed, VMG, SOG, COG, performance graphing, and race timer information.
- T106 starter system variants include the T122 Wireless NMEA Interface for connecting NMEA 0183 devices such as GPS receivers, chartplotters, autopilots, and navigation PCs.
- T122 interface provides 2 NMEA 0183 input channels and 1 output channel for sharing wired navigation data with the wireless instrument network.
- T113 display is sealed and waterproof, with submersion protection rated to 10 m / 33 ft for cockpit and deck use.
- Frequency options are available for 868 MHz and 916 MHz installations, matching the intended regional wireless version.
Variants
This product is offered in remote display and starter system configurations, with separate 868 MHz and 916 MHz frequency versions. The remote display variants provide the T113 handheld display on its own, while the starter system variants add the T122 Wireless NMEA Interface for boats that need to bring NMEA 0183 data into the Micronet wireless network.
The 868 MHz versions are used for Europe, and the 916 MHz versions are used for the Americas, Asia, and Australasia. The T106 starter system variants include the T113 Wireless Remote and T122 Wireless Interface; the T113 variants are the remote display configuration only.
- T113-916: Frequency 916MHz, Configuration Remote Display. This version is the standalone T113 wireless remote display for Micronet systems in 916 MHz regions.
- T113-868: Frequency 868MHz, Configuration Remote Display. This version is the standalone T113 wireless remote display for Micronet systems in 868 MHz regions.
- T106-868: Frequency 868MHz, Configuration Starter System. This starter system pairs the T113 remote display with the T122 Wireless NMEA Interface for 868 MHz installations.
- T106-916: Frequency 916MHz, Configuration Starter System. This starter system pairs the T113 remote display with the T122 Wireless NMEA Interface for 916 MHz installations.
Compatibility and integration
The T113 remote display is a good fit for sailors who already use Raymarine Wireless instruments and want key data in hand at the helm, on the rail, or elsewhere in the cockpit. It can work with Micronet displays such as the T100 Multi, T111 Dual Display, T112 Analogue, T070 Race Master, T210 Maxi Display, and T215 Maxi Dual Display.
The T106 starter system is the better match when the boat has useful navigation data coming from wired NMEA 0183 equipment. With the T122 interface in the system, data from compatible GPS receivers, chartplotters, autopilots, and navigation PCs can be shared into the wireless instrument network instead of being locked to one fixed display location.
Installation and use on board
The remote display format makes sense on racing sailboats, coastal cruisers, and performance-oriented boats where crew position changes often and instrument visibility matters. A handheld repeater is especially helpful when trimming, helming, checking laylines, or moving forward and aft during maneuvers.
The T113 display avoids a display cable run, while the T106 starter system still requires the T122 interface to be powered from the boat’s DC system and connected to the relevant NMEA 0183 wiring. During installation, match the selected frequency version to the vessel’s region and the rest of the Micronet equipment on board.
Power and environment
The T113 remote display uses solar charging with integrated lithium batteries, making it suited to cockpit use where exposure to daylight is part of normal operation. The display also supports backlighting levels for use in changing light conditions, including night sailing and evening dockside checks.
The sealed waterproof construction helps the remote display handle spray, rain, wet hands, and the general abuse of cockpit life. As with any wireless instrument system, placement and setup should account for the boat layout, existing electronics, and the need for dependable communication between the display, interface, and other Micronet devices.
