Overview
The Garmin 010-11678-10 is a 6 ft (1.8 m) power cable with a 4-pin connector for Garmin echo series fishfinders.
It is a practical replacement when the original harness has been cut, pinched behind a helm panel, or the connector has suffered corrosion from moisture and washdowns. The 6 ft length also gives you room to route cleanly inside a console without putting strain on the plug at the unit.
Key features
- 6 ft (1.8 m) cable length for flexible routing from the fishfinder mount to your power feed
- 4-pin connector that mates with echo series fishfinders that use the 4-pin power port
- Simple way to restore power when you are replacing a damaged or unreliable cable run
Compatibility and fit
This cable is intended for Garmin echo series fishfinders that accept a 4-pin power connection. Before ordering, compare the connector style to your existing harness and the power socket on the back of the display or cradle.
Common matches include echo 100, 150, 200, 300c, 500c, and 550c.
Installation and setup
Route the cable with gentle bends and support it with clamps or ties so vibration cannot pull on the connector. Leave enough slack at the mount to tilt or remove the unit for service without yanking the plug.
Connect the boat end to a properly fused DC circuit and keep any terminations in a dry location behind the dash. If the cable passes through a bulkhead or rigging tube, protect it with a grommet to prevent chafe over time.
Use on board
This is a straightforward fit for skiffs, center consoles, and small cruisers where an echo fishfinder is mounted at the helm. It is also handy to keep as a spare harness when you want a quick swap without disturbing the rest of the installation.
Maintenance and care
After heavy spray or washdowns, wipe the connector area dry and confirm the plug is fully seated. During seasonal checks, look for chafe points and replace the cable if the outer jacket shows cuts or flattened spots.
