Overview
The JL Audio Core RCA audio interconnect splitter is a practical way to split one line-level audio output into multiple outputs when you are wiring a multi-amp or multi-zone stereo system on a boat.
It sits in the RCA signal path between a head unit or source and downstream amplifier inputs. The range is offered as a 2-way or 4-way output splitter, depending on how many RCA runs you need to feed with the same signal.
For best long-term results on board, place it where the connection stays protected, then secure the connected RCA cables so vibration does not work the plugs loose over time.
Key features
- Splits a single audio output connection into either two or four outputs, depending on the selected configuration
- Intended for standard RCA interconnect runs used for typical marine line-level audio signals
- Helpful when feeding multiple amplifier inputs from one source output, such as adding a subwoofer amplifier or sharing the same program audio across multiple inputs
- Inline form factor that fits easily behind the helm or inside an electronics locker
- Reduces extra source wiring when the audio system has more amplifier inputs than available pre-outs
Variants
This product is offered in more than one output configuration so the splitter matches the number of downstream audio runs in your system.
The stated difference between variants is the number of outputs.
- 010-13447-00: Outputs 2-way. Commonly used when one source output needs to feed two RCA runs, such as a main amplifier input and a separate subwoofer amplifier input.
- 010-13448-00: Outputs 4-way. Commonly used when the same source output needs to be distributed across four RCA runs for multiple amplifier channels or zone inputs.
Installation and setup
Plan the splitter location close to the source output to avoid creating unnecessary cable slack. Support the adapter and the connected RCA cables with strain relief so movement from vibration and trailering does not pull directly on the jacks.
If the install area is exposed to spray or washdowns, route the connections higher and farther back in the console or locker, and keep the RCA ends protected the same way you would any other low-voltage audio connector.
Compatibility and fit
This splitter is intended for line-level audio interconnects. It does not replace separate zone outputs when you need independent signal paths for different source selection or different volume behavior across zones.
It is a good match for boats where the head unit has limited pre-outs but the system layout requires more than one amplifier input to receive the same audio signal.
