Overview

The JL Audio MAXI Fuse is a MAXI blade fuse used to protect high-current DC circuits in a boat's accessory and audio power distribution. It is available in amperage ratings from 30 A up to 100 A, so you can match the protection your fuse block and wiring call for.

It installs in MAXI-style fuse holders, including MAXI master fuse blocks and fused distribution blocks. The translucent body makes it easier to spot a blown element during troubleshooting without guessing.

Variants

This product is offered in multiple amperage ratings. The rating is what changes between variants; the fuse style remains a MAXI blade format for the same holder style.

Compatibility and fit

This fuse fits MAXI blade holders. It does not fit smaller ATO/ATC or MINI blade holders, and it is a different form factor than MIDI or ANL style fuses.

Installation and troubleshooting

Replace the fuse with the circuit de-energized, then pull the old fuse straight out and press the new fuse fully into the holder. If a replacement opens right away, treat it as an overcurrent symptom and check the load, wiring, and connections before installing another fuse.

On a boat, the fuse is only as reliable as the holder and connections around it. Keeping the fuse block covered and out of direct salt spray helps reduce corrosion and heat buildup at the terminals.

Use cases on board

This is a practical spare to keep on board for boats running JL Audio power distribution, stereo amplifiers, or other MAXI-fused accessory feeds. It is also handy for service kits when you are troubleshooting an intermittent power loss at the fuse block.
