Installation and setup

Start by confirming the amplifier fuse rating you are wiring for, then route the power lead from your battery switch or distribution point to the amplifier location with chafe protection anywhere it passes through bulkheads. Mount the fuse block where it is easy to inspect and service, and place it as close to the power source as practical for the run.

Ground quality matters in a boat that sees vibration. Use a clean, solid grounding point, keep the ground lead short where possible, and avoid stacking multiple high-current devices on a questionable ground. After you make terminations, secure the wiring so it cannot move and fatigue at the connector.
