Overview

The Vimar EIKON Series is a family of 8-module (4+4) Classic cover plates for larger switch and outlet groupings in a compatible EIKON installation. The plate size is 142.3 x 155.8 mm with a 10 mm depth, it can be mounted horizontally or vertically, and it uses clamp mounting for built-in installations as well as suitable wall-duct and subfloor-duct applications.

This is the visible trim piece around the wiring devices, so the buying decision is mainly about matching the right 8-module layout and the right finish for the surrounding interior. For marine refits and new builds, it works best in dry interior spaces such as cabins, saloons, nav stations, and other protected panels where the switch bank is part of the interior joinery rather than an exposed weather deck location. The IP00 rating means the plate itself does not add water protection.

The listed versions keep the same EIKON Classic 8-module (4+4) cover plate format, while the visible finish and outer material change across the range. Available finishes include African Wengé, Antique White, Black Ice, Bright Anthracite, Bright Champagne, Bright Titanium, Italian Walnut, Matte Anthracite, Metallic Siena, Metallic Silver, Polished Gold, Reflex Graphite, Satin Gold, Satin Nickel, Silver Mirror, White Ice, and White Oak.

The range includes solid wood, bright varnished metal, refined metal, glass crystal, and technopolymer constructions. Frame detailing also changes with the finish family, with chromed frame versions across much of the range and gold-tone frame treatment on the gold finishes. The 8-module 4+4 layout stays the same across the listed variants.

Compatibility and fit

This cover plate is meant for a Vimar EIKON 8-module installation, so the key fit check is the module layout behind the plate rather than the electrical load of the devices. On boats, that matters most during refits where switch banks may look similar at a glance but use a different module count or a different series. Before ordering, confirm that the installation is an EIKON 8-module 4+4 arrangement and that the finish you want matches the surrounding trim, joinery, and hardware.

Use on board

This plate is a good match for interior control points where appearance matters and the electrical devices sit in a protected area of the vessel. It suits cabins, saloons, owner and crew areas, and protected helm or navigation panels. It is less suited to open cockpits, flybridges, or any mounting position that sees spray or washdowns, because IP00 means the plate is not a weather-sealed front.
