Overview
The Vimar 8000 Series TV-RD-SAT is a coaxial socket outlet range for TV, radio, and satellite distribution, with a 5-2400 MHz working range, one outlet, and an IEC 60169-2 male connector.
This range covers two common points in a coax run: a low-loss end socket and a loop-through socket with higher attenuation. Both versions use snap mounting, come in beige plastic with a RAL 9001 similar finish, and share a single-outlet format.
For marine refits and panel replacements, the key difference is how the outlet sits in the line. The 1 dB version passes DC current and control signals up to 24 V and 500 mA, while the 10 dB version is a loop-through outlet for continued line distribution and does not support remote power supply.
Key features
- 5-2400 MHz signal path for TV, radio, and satellite feeds.
- IEC 60169-2 male connector with one outlet and snap mounting.
- Two configurations in the range: 1 dB single connection end socket or 10 dB loop-through socket.
- 24 V, 500 mA DC and control signal pass-through on the 1 dB version.
- Beige plastic body in a RAL 9001 similar finish, with a 22 mm device width across the range.
Variants
This product is offered in two configurations for different positions in a coax distribution run.
The main differences are attenuation, whether the outlet is a single connection end socket or a loop-through socket, and remote power supply support. The 5-2400 MHz range, IEC 60169-2 male connector, snap mounting, beige plastic finish, and single-outlet format stay the same across both versions.
- VM08190.01: Power 1dB. Single connection end socket with 1 dB connection attenuation, tap loss of 0.10 dB at 860 MHz and 0.20 dB at 2150 MHz, plus DC and control signal pass-through up to 24 V and 500 mA. This version suits the end point of a coax run where low loss and remote power passage matter.
- VM08190.10: Power 10dB. Loop-through socket with 10 dB connection attenuation, tap loss of 10.60 dB at 860 MHz and 9.90 dB at 2150 MHz, and through loss of 2.20 dB at 860 MHz and 3.40 dB at 2150 MHz. This version fits mid-run distribution points where the coax line continues to the next outlet.
Compatibility and fit
The body width is 22 mm on both versions. The VM08190.01 unit is 50 mm high and 32.1 mm deep, while the VM08190.10 unit is 40 mm high and 31.9 mm deep. Check the available depth behind the panel and confirm you are matching an existing Vimar 8000 layout before ordering.
Because the two variants serve different roles in a coax network, replacement should be like for like unless the distribution scheme is being changed. That matters on boats where TV or satellite feeds may pass through several outlets before the final connection point.
Use on board
On a vessel, this type of outlet makes sense at cabin TV points, salon media panels, or helm stations where a coax feed is either terminated or carried onward. It is a good match for installers replacing a Vimar 8000 module or building a panel that needs separate end-point and pass-through positions in the same coax network.
