Overview
The Lumitec Aurora LED Dome Light is a surface-mount LED ceiling light for 10-30 VDC systems, with IP67 sealing for areas that see spray and washdowns.
White output is rated at 180 lumens with 4W draw and a 5000K color temperature. Current draw is approximately 290 mA at 12 VDC and 160 mA at 24 VDC, and the fixture measures 4.00 in (W) x 4.00 in (H) x 0.73 in (D) for a low-profile fit on overhead panels.
It is certified ignition protected, which helps when you are installing lighting in spaces where vapor protection matters along with typical cabin and cockpit locations.

- Rated power: 4W; current draw approx 290 mA at 12 VDC and 160 mA at 24 VDC
- IP67 compliant sealing for wet areas and washdowns
- Certified ignition protected
- 4.00 in (W) x 4.00 in (H) x 0.73 in (D) surface-mount form factor

Variants
This series is offered with two trim finishes and three light output options.
Configurations vary by finish (white or polished stainless steel) and by light color (white only, white/blue dimming, or white/red dimming). Electrical ratings, IP67 sealing, and overall dimensions remain the same across the range.
What’s included
- Aurora LED dome light
- Four #6 self-tapping mounting screws
Installation and setup
This is a surface-mount light that fastens with four #6 screws. Plan for a 3/4 in wire exit hole behind the fixture and pilot holes for the mounting screws, then route your supply wiring to a switched DC circuit.
On two-color versions, rotating the bezel selects the light output and sets the dim level. That keeps control at the fixture without adding separate switches at the helm or bulkhead.
Protect the circuit with a fuse sized for your installation and the number of lights on the run.
Electrical and system integration
The light runs on 10-30 VDC, which covers both 12V and 24V systems. The low current draw is useful when you are planning overnight lighting loads in cabins, cockpits, and hardtop overhangs.
Placement on board
IP67 sealing lets Aurora work in places that get wet, such as under a hardtop, in a cockpit overhead, or in a head compartment. The white-only version suits general lighting, while the white/red or white/blue versions add a second color for low-glare night use or accent lighting.
It is a good match for owners replacing older dome lights who want wide area lighting with lower power draw and a low-profile footprint.
Maintenance and care
Rinse and wipe the lens and bezel with fresh water and a soft cloth after salt exposure. Avoid abrasive cleaners on the polished stainless steel finish to keep the surface looking clean.
