Overview
The Blue Sea Systems 1502 is a 120V AC main shore power panel with a 30A double-pole ELCI breaker for whole-boat protection at the shore power connection. It has one panel position, a 30 mA leakage trip threshold, and front-panel indicators for reverse polarity and circuit status.
This panel is built for boats that use a single 30A, 120V shore power service and need ELCI protection at the main AC entry point. The backlit label area helps when the panel is mounted in a cabin, electrical locker, or helm space where light is limited, and the compact 4.75 in x 4.88 in x 3.00 in footprint makes it easier to place in tighter installations.
It includes the A-Series 3102100 double-pole 30A ELCI main breaker and is intended for installations that follow ABYC E-11 practices for shore power protection. Before ordering, confirm that your boat is wired for 120V AC shore power and that this location only needs a main ELCI panel rather than a branch distribution panel.
Key features
- 30A double-pole ELCI main breaker with a 30 mA leakage trip setting for whole-boat shore power protection
- 120V AC, single-position panel for a dedicated AC main connection
- Reverse polarity LED on the panel face for a quick visual check after hookup
- Backlit circuit label position with ON-indicator LEDs that stay readable in low light
- Compact panel size: 4.75 in high, 4.88 in wide, and 3.00 in deep
- Includes the A-Series 3102100 ELCI Main Circuit Breaker, double pole, 120V AC, 30A
Installation and fit
This panel fits applications where the boat has a single 30A, 120V shore inlet and the main protection needs to be kept in a small area near the AC entry point. It works well in refit jobs where the goal is to add ELCI protection without moving to a larger multi-circuit panel.
Because this is a one-position main panel, it is best matched to layouts that already have branch circuit distribution handled elsewhere, or to simple AC systems where the shore power main is the only function needed at this panel location. Check panel cutout space, mounting depth, and cable routing before installation.
Use on board
This is a good match for boats that run a straightforward 120V AC shore power setup and need a clear, dedicated main disconnect with leakage protection. It also suits owners replacing an older shore power main panel and keeping the rest of the AC system layout largely unchanged.
