Overview
The B&G Triton HV is a high-visibility instrument display for sailboats that puts big, readable numbers where the crew is working. It connects to a NMEA 2000 network through a Micro-C port (2 LEN) and runs on 12V DC (10-16V DC), so it shares power and data on a single network drop.
The optically bonded, white-on-black segmented display is rated IP67 and is built to stay clear through spray, washdowns, and rapid temperature changes. Pages are configured from a compatible Triton or H5000 instrument system, and the display can store up to 14 pages for common sailing data like wind, depth, speed, and COG/SOG.
The range includes two sizes so you can match viewing distance and mounting space, from compact pedestal pods to larger mast or cockpit mounting positions.
Key features
- NMEA 2000 Micro-C connection (2 LEN) for power and data over the network
- 12V DC input range 10-16V DC with a recommended 5A fuse
- IP67 sealing with an optically bonded screen to help prevent condensation
- Up to 14 configurable pages, set up from a compatible Triton or H5000 system
- Red or white backlighting for night sailing
- Low power draw (0.5W typical) for long runs and overnight use
- Operating range -10 to +55 C and up to 95% RH for exposed mast and cockpit locations
- IEC/EN 60945 compliance for marine electronics installations
Variants
This display is offered in multiple configurations to suit different mounting locations and viewing distances on board.
Both sizes use the same NMEA 2000 Micro-C connection, 12V DC (10-16V DC) supply range, IP67 sealing, and red or white backlighting. The main differences are physical size, weight, and maximum power consumption.
- 000-11087-001 - Model: 10/10 HV. Smaller housing (114 x 66 x 55 mm) that fits tight pods and pedestals while keeping key numbers close to the crew.
- 000-11088-001 - Model: 20/20 HV. Larger housing (178 x 114 x 50 mm) that is easier to read from farther away on the mast or across a wide cockpit.
What’s included
- HV display
- Black bezel
- Sun cover
Installation and setup
Plan the cutout and cable run first. This is a flush-mount display that connects with a single NMEA 2000 drop cable, so you will want a solid mounting surface, a clean cable path, and strain relief so vibration does not work the connector loose over time.
Because it is a network display, the boat still needs the sensors and instrument processor on the NMEA 2000 backbone to supply the data you want to show. If your vessel is primarily 24V, use an appropriate DC-DC converter so the NMEA 2000 network is supplied with stable 12V power.
Compatibility and fit
This display shows NMEA 2000 instrument data and is configured from a compatible B&G Triton or H5000 instrument system. It does not replace wind, depth, or speed sensors; it repeats what is already on the network.
Allow about 200 mm (7.9 in) of compass safe distance when mounting near a magnetic compass, especially in tight pedestal layouts.
Who it suits
A good match for racing crews who want key numbers at the helm and trimming positions, and for cruisers who want a simple repeater on deck or at the mast without adding a full chartplotter display.
