Overview
The Lumitec 101073 is an adapter kit for Halo and Orbit flush mount down lights that helps you retrofit into an older opening without patching or upsizing trim. It covers oversized cutouts from 1.875" to 2.750" in diameter, leaving a 3.00" finished trim at the surface with about 0.72" of depth behind the panel.
It uses a clamp-in style mount with no exposed fasteners, so the face stays clean and the backside of the panel also looks tidy when it is visible. This is the adapter only; the down light is sold separately.

Compatibility and fit
This adapter is intended for Lumitec Halo and Lumitec Orbit flush mount down lights. Measure the current cutout before ordering: openings smaller than 1.875" will not accept the adapter as-is, and openings larger than 2.750" can leave gaps that remain visible around the trim.
It is a practical choice for overhead panels, headliners, hardtops, and other common down light mounting spots where the old cutout is bigger than the new light’s footprint.
Installation and setup
After the old light is removed and the opening is cleaned up, the adapter clamps into the existing cutout. The new down light then installs through the adapter using its normal flush mount method, keeping the finished edge covered without adding visible screws on the trim face.
Use on board
This kit is a good match for refits where you are moving from halogen to Halo or Orbit lighting in cabins, berths, heads, or cockpit overhead areas and want a clean look without fiberglass work. It also helps when you are standardizing light sizes across a boat and need one trim size to cover mixed legacy cutouts.
Maintenance and care
Wipe the trim with fresh water and a mild soap solution as needed, especially after salt spray or washdowns. Avoid harsh solvents that can haze or dull finishes.
