Overview
The Lopolight Tri-Color Anchor Light with Windex mount and flat base is a masthead navigation light that combines tri-color running lights, a 360° white anchor light, and an illuminated Windex mount in one housing. It is built around a 1 NM light output and runs on 10-32 VDC, so it fits typical 12 V and 24 V boat systems.
On the water, tri-color mode uses the standard sector layout: 112.5° red (port), 112.5° green (starboard), and 135° white (stern). Anchor mode switches to an all-round white 360° light. The body measures Ø92.5 mm x 86 mm and the sealed construction is rated IP68 for constant exposure at the masthead.
Key features
- Tri-color sectors plus 360° all-round white anchor light in a single masthead unit
- 1 NM-rated light output with 112.5° red, 112.5° green, 135° white stern sector, and 360° white mode
- 10-32 VDC operating range for 12 V and 24 V systems
- Approx. 2.6 W draw (150 mA @ 12 VDC, 81 mA @ 24 VDC)
- IP68 water resistance for masthead spray, rain, and washdowns
- Flat base mounting with three-hole pattern; supports mounting from the top or from the underside (M4 threaded holes)
- Integrated Windex mount with light to make the wind indicator easier to read at night
- 0.75 m cable for a short masthead run to your internal wiring
Variants
This light is offered in multiple finish options for a cleaner match to your masthead hardware.
The lighting functions, mounting style, dimensions, and electrical range remain consistent across the range; the housing finish is what changes.
- 101-009W-FB (Finish Silver). A natural match for many aluminum spars and anodized mast fittings.
- 101-009W-FB-B (Finish Black). A common choice when the masthead hardware and instruments are in darker finishes.
Compatibility and fit
This style of tri-color plus anchor light is typically used on sailboats that want a single masthead unit for underway and anchoring. Confirm your vessel size and local requirements for a 1 NM masthead light, then check the available space at the masthead for a Ø92.5 mm x 86 mm housing and the cable exit routing.
The built-in Windex mount is meant for installations where the wind indicator sits at the masthead. If you already have a Windex bracket or a crowded masthead plate, compare clearances before committing.
Installation and setup
The flat base can be installed from the top using three Ø4.4 mm mounting holes, or from the underside using three M4 x 0.7 threaded holes (6 mm deep). On a masthead, take the time to dry-fit the base, confirm cable routing, and bed the fasteners so water cannot track into the spar.
As with any tri-color light, orientation matters. Align the housing so the red sector faces port, green faces starboard, and the 135° white stern sector points aft, then verify the light is level on the boat at rest.
Electrical and switching
Power is simple: 10-32 VDC with low current draw, which keeps voltage drop concerns manageable in a mast run. Plan your switching so you can run the correct mode for the situation underway versus at anchor, and so the Windex light is only on when you actually want it.
If you are replacing an existing masthead tri-color/anchor light, label the old conductors before removal so you can keep the correct function-to-switch mapping at the panel.
Materials and corrosion resistance
The housing uses aluminum with anodized finish options and an acrylic lens, with components selected for constant UV exposure and saltwater air. The unit is sealed to an IP68 rating, which helps when the masthead gets regular spray or routine deck washes.
Use cases on board
This configuration suits sailors who want one masthead light for night passages plus an anchor mode, and who still want to read the wind indicator after dark without adding separate mast lighting.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt off during routine washdowns, especially around the base and cable exit. During seasonal checks, inspect the cable jacket for chafe where it enters the spar and re-bed the fasteners if you see any sign of water tracking.
