Overview

The TACO Marine T-Top LED Tube Light is a hard-wired LED replacement light for standard T-top tube light housings on boats. It uses 108 LEDs and is available with either white and blue light or white and red light, giving the helm, cockpit, engine room, or arch area a practical mix of general illumination and low-glare color light.

White output is rated at 300 lumens, with color output rated at 150 lumens. The light draws less than 0.5 amps, includes a 3-way switch on the end of the housing for color, white, and off, and has an IP67 waterproof, non-submersible rating for spray, washdowns, and exposed marine locations.

The 1.5-inch diameter housing works as a replacement for many existing fluorescent T-top light housings, which makes it useful when updating older lighting without changing the whole mounting setup.

Variants

This T-top tube light is offered in two color configurations. Both versions use the same 108 LED tube light format, 1.5-inch diameter, hard-wired installation, end-mounted 3-way switch, low current draw, IP67 waterproof non-submersible rating, polycarbonate lens, and 14-foot wiring cable.

The difference between the variants is the secondary light color. White light is used for general visibility, while the blue or red option gives a lower-glare light choice for night running, chart checks, cockpit activity, or helm-area use when full white light is not wanted.

• F38-2060B-1: White with blue light. The blue setting gives the boat a clean accent light while still keeping the white output available for work light use.
• F38-2060R-1: White with red light. The red setting is a common choice for chart reading and night use around the helm because it is easier on the eyes than full white light.

Installation and fit

This is a hard-wired tube light, so installation should be planned around wire routing, switch access, and the existing T-top or arch structure. The 14-foot wiring cable gives enough length for many overhead installs, but the route should still be checked before removal of the old light.

The universal replacement format is meant for many standard fluorescent T-top light housings. Before ordering, compare the 1.5-inch diameter, mounting point layout, and available wiring path with the light currently on the boat.

Use cases on board

This light is a strong match for center consoles, fishing boats, and cruising boats that need overhead lighting under a T-top, on an arch, or in an engine room.
