Overview

The Lumishore 010-04539-00 is a 5 m ECLIPSE SL100 RGB LED strip light for adding indirect accent lighting in cabins, cockpits, and other areas where you want light without a visible fixture.

It runs on 12 V DC systems (10 to 15 V) and uses a fully encapsulated, potted strip with an IP68 rating, so it can live behind panels, under gunwales, and in other spots that see spray and washdowns. The strip has 60 LEDs per meter in a clear housing and a slim 10.8 mm x 5.2 mm cross section, which helps when routing it through tight liner gaps and around trim.

The 5 m length can be cut to fit, and the cut end must be sealed after trimming. Color output is RGB, so a compatible controller is required when you want to change colors; power can still be switched on and off like any other 12 V accessory.

Installation and setup

Plan the run first, including where the strip will turn corners and where the power lead will land. Keep it away from sharp edges and moving hardware, and add strain relief anywhere the cable could get tugged by vibration or access panels.

When cutting to length, make the cut clean and seal the cut end before final installation so water cannot wick into the strip. Test the section before closing up liners or headliners.

Electrical and control integration

Wire it to a protected 12 V DC circuit within the 10 to 15 V input range. Power draw is up to 0.5 A per meter (6 W/m), which is useful when sizing the feed, fuse, and wire gauge for longer runs.

This strip is not intended for dimming. For color changes and effects, pair it with compatible ECLIPSE control hardware.

Use cases on board

Common installs include under gunwales, under seating bases, behind ceiling panels, and along toe-kicks for low-glare courtesy lighting. It is a good match for refits where you want hidden lighting that handles spray and quick washdowns without relying on a bulky fixture.

Maintenance and care

Rinse salt residue off during routine washdowns and avoid strong solvents on the strip. Periodically check the sealed end and cable routing for chafe, especially in lockers and under seats where gear can shift underway.
