Overview
The Lumishore 010-04537-00 is a 1 m RGB LED strip light for indirect accent lighting on board. It runs on 12V DC systems (10 to 15V) and draws up to 0.5A per meter (6W/m). The strip carries an IP68 ingress rating and uses a fully sealed, potted construction for wet locations, but it is not intended for permanent submersion.
This RGB version is controlled through an ECLIPSE Command Center rather than being wired straight to a basic switch. It is a practical fit for under-gunnel runs, toe-kicks, cockpit coamings, lockers, and other places where you want the light to stay mostly hidden while the glow carries across surfaces.
Key features
- 1 m RGB strip for hidden accent lighting in cockpits, cabins, and under furniture
- 12V DC only operation (10 to 15V input range)
- Up to 0.5A per meter current draw (6W per meter)
- IP68 ingress rating for wet areas and washdowns (not for permanent submersion)
- Fully sealed and potted construction to handle vibration and salt-air environments
- RGB control through an ECLIPSE Command Center; do not wire the RGB strip directly to a switch
- Minimum 50 mm bend radius in the vertical axis; avoid twisting or bending in the horizontal axis
Compatibility and fit
This strip is for 12V boats only. If your vessel is 24V, plan on a suitable 24V-to-12V conversion before the lighting controller and strip.
RGB operation requires an ECLIPSE Command Center. Keep different strip types on separate zones, and plan zone lengths with the controller limits in mind when you are building out multiple runs.
Installation and setup
Layout matters more than people expect with strip lighting. Dry-fit the run, confirm bend points, and route wiring so it is supported and protected from chafe. When trimming is needed, cut only at the marked cut points and seal the cut end so the assembly stays watertight.
For adhesive mounting, prep the surface so it is clean and oil-free, then press along the edges of the strip rather than pushing on the LED area. Let the adhesive set before powering up. In wet areas or where the strip needs tighter control, add mechanical fasteners or clips so the strip stays put over time.
Use cases on board
This style of strip lighting is commonly used to add a soft glow under gunwales, along cockpit seating bases, behind cabin trim, and inside storage spaces where overhead fixtures are awkward. It is a good match for owners who already run an ECLIPSE Command Center and want RGB accents that integrate into the same zone-based control.
Maintenance and care
Clean with a damp soft cloth or a soft brush. Avoid abrasive pads and cleaners that contain solvents, acids, or alkalis, and do not pressure wash the strip. For longevity, avoid mounting locations that see strong direct sunlight for long periods.
