Overview
The Vimar Idea 16331 is a coaxial socket outlet with an F-type female connector for bringing a TV or satellite coax line to a finished panel on board.
It supports signals from 0 to 2400 MHz on 75 ohm coax, which covers common TV and satellite distribution. This is an end socket with a single outlet and it supports remote power feed over the coax when your system uses it.
It snaps into the Vimar Idea device system and is typically installed in interior locations like the salon, cabin, or nav station, where you want a clean connection point rather than a loose adapter behind a TV.
Key features
- F-type female connector for 75 ohm coax used in TV and satellite antenna runs
- Frequency range: 0 to 2400 MHz
- End socket format with a single outlet
- Supports remote power feed on the coax line for compatible systems
- Snap-mount module format for Vimar Idea plates and mounting supports
- Plastic mechanism suited to interior panels and cabinetry
- Available in two colors to match surrounding Idea trim
Variants
This outlet is offered in two color finishes for matching the surrounding Vimar Idea plate.
The connector format and electrical function stay the same across the range; the only change is the visible color.
- VM16331: Color Gray. A darker face that blends in with gray trim and modern interior panels.
- VM16331.B: Color Ivory. An off-white tone similar to RAL 9001, used where the surrounding plate and trim are ivory.
Compatibility and fit
Fits Vimar Idea modular device supports and cover plates. It is not a universal wall-plate connector, so confirm your boat uses the Idea system before ordering.
Use standard 75 ohm coax terminated with an F-type male connector on the cable run. As an end socket, it is intended as the finished outlet point at the TV, receiver, or satellite decoder location.
Installation and setup
Terminate the onboard coax run with a quality F-type male connector, connect it to the rear of the module, and snap the mechanism into the Idea mounting support. After the plate is fitted, connect your TV or receiver using an F-type patch lead at the front.
If your antenna amplifier or satellite equipment uses power over coax, keep the remote feed path in mind when laying out splitters and isolators so the outlet remains on the powered leg.
Use on board
Common install spots are behind a salon TV, at a cabin entertainment panel, or near a satellite receiver in a locker. It is a good match for boats that already standardize on Vimar Idea devices and want the coax outlet to look consistent with the rest of the switchgear.
Mount in a dry, protected interior area. For damp lockers or washdown zones, route the coax to a protected panel location or use an appropriate sealed enclosure upstream.
