Overview
The Vimar VM08186 is an 8000 Series coaxial socket outlet with an F-type female connector for TV and satellite coax runs on board. It supports frequencies up to 2400 MHz and uses the IEC 60169-24 interface used with F connectors.
It snaps into compatible Vimar 8000 Series frames and cover plates and presents a single outlet in beige (RAL 9001). The rear connection is an in/out layout that uses a Type F male connector (01654) to keep terminations secure behind the panel.
This outlet is suitable for systems that send remote power through the coax line, which can matter when feeding active antennas or satellite equipment.
Key features
- F-type female coaxial socket outlet (IEC 60169-24) for frequencies up to 2400 MHz
- Single outlet in an end socket format for a finished termination point at the wall plate
- In/out rear connection via Type F male connector (01654)
- Snap mounting engagement for quick install into Vimar 8000 Series modular supports
- Beige front (RAL 9001) with a plastic body suited to interior marine panels
- Suitable for remote power supply over the coax line
Compatibility and fit
Use this outlet anywhere the boat uses standard F connectors for TV, satellite, or antenna distribution. It is part of the Vimar 8000 Series device range, so it should be matched with the correct 8000 Series mounting frame and cover plate for your installation.
Installation and setup
After snapping the module into the frame, terminate the coax to the appropriate Type F male connector at the rear. Leave a little service loop so vibration does not load the connector threads, and keep the outlet in a dry, protected location unless it is installed inside a sealed enclosure.
Use on board
This is a practical choice for cabins, salons, and nav stations where you want a clean wall connection for a TV or satellite receiver rather than a loose coax lead tucked behind trim.
