Overview

The Vimar Eikon 20138 is an RGB dimmer with turn-button control for RGB LED lamps and electronic transformers. It combines ON/OFF and brightness control through the built-in push button or peripheral NO push buttons, while colour is adjusted with the rotary potentiometer. Across the range, it is flush-mounted, rated IP40, and built with a 22.3 x 49 x 61 mm body in thermoplastic with a matt finish.

For boat interiors, this type of control suits protected spaces such as cabins, saloons, and enclosed helm areas where an AC lighting circuit is already in place. It is not a match for exposed locations or wet compartments, and it is not for Isoset enclosures.

Installation and setup

This dimmer is installed flush and secured with click-in mounting. It works as a manual wall control and is set up to operate from the built-in button or from peripheral NO push buttons, which is useful when the same RGB lighting zone needs access from more than one location.

It is not intended for movement sensors, presence indicators, time switches, transmission buttons, or infrared buttons. That makes it a straightforward choice for manual RGB lighting control rather than sensor-based switching.

Electrical and system integration

Check the vessel's AC system before ordering. The 120V versions suit 120V 60 Hz installations, and the 230V versions suit 230V 50 Hz installations. Load compatibility matters as well, since this unit is intended for RGB LED lamps and electronic transformers.

This is a good fit for interior refits that need local RGB lighting control at the switch position without moving to a larger automation setup. It makes the most sense where the installation is protected from spray, washdown, and direct weather exposure.
