Overview
The Vimar Arké 19292 is a modular USB charging outlet for Arké plates and supports that runs from 120-240 V~ at 50/60 Hz and outputs 5 V USB power at the point of use. It is built as a 1-module insert, so it sits cleanly in the same frames and cover plates as the rest of your Arké devices.
On a boat, it is typically installed on the AC side of the electrical system, for example on shore power or behind an inverter that supplies mains voltage. It is a practical way to keep phones, tablets, cameras, and other USB-charged gear topped up at the helm, nav station, galley, or cabin without relying on plug-in adapters.
This range is offered with different port layouts and charging capacities, plus multiple finishes to match the surrounding trim. Select the configuration that matches how you charge on board, whether that is a single USB-A, a single USB-C, two USB-C ports, or a mixed USB-A and USB-C outlet.
Key features
- 1-module (1M) Arké insert format for flush mounting in compatible frames and cover plates
- Supply voltage 120-240 V~ at 50/60 Hz with 5 V USB output at the outlet
- Port configurations across the range include USB-A, USB-C, USB-A plus USB-C, and dual USB-C
- Charging options across the range cover 5 V 1.5 A single-port units, 5 V 2.4 A total (12 W) mixed-port units, 15 W 3 A 5 V versions, and 25 W USB-C Power Delivery versions, depending on configuration
- On multi-port versions, available output is shared so two devices can be charged at the same time within the unit’s rating
- Finish options in this family include Gray, White, Metal, and antibacterial finishes
Variants
This Arké USB outlet family is available in multiple configurations that vary by finish and by USB port layout. You will see versions with one USB-A port, one USB-C port, two USB-C ports, and mixed USB-A plus USB-C.
Charging capability also varies by configuration, ranging from standard 5 V outputs for everyday device charging through higher-power USB-C options, including Power Delivery models. Match the outlet to your onboard power source (AC mains) and the devices you expect to charge most often.
Installation and setup
These units install as a 1-module device behind an Arké cover plate, using the appropriate Arké support/frame for your mounting box. Plan for the depth behind the plate so the wiring can sit without being forced, and place the outlet where cables can route cleanly without being pinched by drawers, doors, or moving panels.
For marine interiors, mount in a protected location away from direct spray and routine washdowns. If the outlet is going into a damp zone, use an enclosure and placement that keeps water off the face and reduces the chance of corrosion around the USB ports.
Electrical and system integration
This is an AC-powered device that connects to 120-240 V~ at 50/60 Hz. It is not a direct 12 V or 24 V DC charger, so on DC-only boats it must be fed from an inverter output rather than wired to the DC distribution.
Integrate it like any other fixed AC accessory: on a properly protected branch circuit, with suitable upstream protection and residual-current protection where required by your installation practices. If you are unsure about AC wiring on a vessel, have the work done by a qualified marine electrician.
Use on board
This outlet is a good fit for crews who charge small electronics throughout the day and want a clean, built-in solution that matches an Arké switch and socket layout. It works well near the helm for tablets and phones, at a nav station for handhelds and accessories, or in cabins for overnight charging, with higher-power USB-C options available where faster charging is needed.
