The Vimar Plana Series is a 1-module interchangeable button used on compatible Plana modular controls to give the switch face a clean look and a clear function label. It is a practical replacement part when a rocker has been scuffed, the symbol needs to change, or you want a consistent legend across a boat’s switch panel.

The front piece is made from halogen-free thermoplastic with a glossy surface, and it carries an IP40 protection rating for protected interior locations such as a cabin panel, chart table, or inside a console. A small monitoring window/light outlet is built into the button so it can align with mechanisms that use an indicator or locator light behind the face.

Compatibility and fit

This is a Plana Series 1-module button, intended to be used with the matching Plana 1M modular mechanism and support hardware already installed in the plate. It is the front actuator piece, not the electrical switching mechanism.

If you are replacing an existing button, match the module size (1M) and choose the finish and symbol that matches the rest of the plate and the function you want shown on the panel.

Installation and setup

Isolate power to the circuit at the breaker panel before working on any switchgear. Remove the existing button from the mechanism, then fit the replacement button so the symbol orientation reads correctly when installed.

If your mechanism uses an indicator or locator light, confirm the monitoring window/light outlet lines up cleanly and is not blocked by the plate or adjacent modules.
