The Perko 1184DP0CHR is a vertical-mount combination masthead and white all-round anchor light for sail or power driven vessels under 20 meters (65.6 ft.) in length. It runs on 12V and comes with two 10W bulbs, with 3-mile visibility certification for navigation use. The assembly uses a 3/4" anodized aluminum tube, a black polymer base, and a chrome plated zinc alloy top.

Installation and setup

The forward compartment is wired as the masthead light for running-light use underway. When the forward and aft compartments are energized together, the unit functions as the all-round anchor light. A double-pole, double-throw switch with center off is the proper setup here, since a single-switch arrangement can backfeed the circuit and light the wrong lamps at the wrong time.

Mounting is straightforward, but orientation matters. The top of the light needs to stay vertical in operation, and the arrow on the cap points forward. Before ordering as a replacement, compare the base footprint, 1-5/8" mounting-hole spacing, and pole diameter with the light already on the boat.

Compatibility and fit

This light suits boats under 20 meters that need a combination navigation and anchor light in one housing rather than separate fixtures. It is a practical match for sailboats, small cruisers, and similar powerboats where a fold-down light is easier to live with around storage covers, trailering, or tight overhead clearance.
