Overview
The Raymarine Alpha Power & Raynet Cables is a power and RayNet data cable range for connecting a Raymarine Alpha Performance Display with a single cable run. It carries both power and data to the display, which helps reduce the amount of cabling that has to pass through the mast, deck, or instrument area.
This cable range is made for Raymarine Alpha Performance Displays and is suitable for both 7-inch and 9-inch Alpha displays. It is offered in 1 m, 3 m, 5 m, and 10 m lengths, giving installers room to match the cable route to the display position without leaving unnecessary slack behind the panel or inside the mast.
Key features
- Power and RayNet data run through one cable for a cleaner Alpha display installation.
- Suitable for both 7-inch and 9-inch Raymarine Alpha Performance Displays.
- Available cable lengths cover short console runs, deck-level routing, and longer mast or cockpit installations.
- Helps reduce cable clutter where wiring passes through the mast, deck, or helm area.
- Works as a dedicated Alpha display accessory and must be purchased separately from the display.
Variants
This Raymarine cable range is offered in multiple lengths so the same display connection can be matched to different boat layouts and mounting positions.
The cable length changes between variants. The application remains the same across the range: a Power & RayNet connection for Raymarine Alpha Performance Displays in 7-inch and 9-inch sizes.
- A80752: 1 m cable length. This short length works well where the display and connection point are close together, such as a compact helm pod or local instrument area.
- A80709: 3 m cable length. This length gives more routing room for installations where the cable needs to pass through a nearby deck gland, panel, or cockpit structure.
- A80753: 5 m cable length. This option suits longer runs where the display is mounted away from the main electronics location or where the route needs to follow existing cable paths.
- A80754: 10 m cable length. This longer cable supports installations with extended routing through a mast, deck, or larger cockpit layout.
Installation and fit
Before installation, measure the full cable path rather than the straight-line distance between the display and the connection point. Allow for bends, service loops, deck glands, mast exits, and access panels so the cable is not pulled tight once the display is mounted.
For mast and deck runs, plan the route to avoid sharp bends, chafe points, and areas where standing water can collect. Keeping the cable supported along the run makes future inspection easier and helps keep the display installation tidy.
Use on board
This cable range is a good match for sailboats and performance-focused installations using Raymarine Alpha displays at the mast, cockpit, or helm. The single-cable approach is especially useful where space is limited and every extra cable through the deck or mast adds complexity.
