Overview
The Garmin 010-11091-00 is a right-angle marine A/V cable that brings audio and video connections out from a compatible Garmin chartplotter using a 90-degree plug at the unit end. The right-angle head helps when the display is flush-mounted and there is limited clearance behind the panel, so the cable can exit cleanly without a hard bend.
This cable breaks out to a PC-style video connector with jack screws plus two RCA-style connectors, making it useful when you need to tie a chartplotter into an onboard A/V setup at the helm, flybridge, or nav station.
Key features
- Right-angle (90-degree) chartplotter connection for tight spaces behind flush-mounted displays
- Threaded locking collar at the chartplotter end to help keep the connection secure in vibration
- Breakout end includes a PC-style video connector with jack screws plus two RCA-style connectors
- Compatible with Garmin GPSMAP 4008, 4010, 4012, 4208, 4210, 4212, 5008, 5012, 5015, 5208, 5212, and 5215 chartplotters
- Clean way to route A/V connections away from the back of the unit while keeping cable bends gentle
Compatibility and fit
Use this cable when your chartplotter is one of the supported GPSMAP models and you need access to its A/V connection at the back of the unit. Match the model number on the display to the compatibility list above before ordering.
Space behind the display matters on most boats, especially in stacked electronics bays. The 90-degree plug reduces how far the connection protrudes, which can make the difference between a neat install and a strained connector.
Installation and routing
Power down the electronics before connecting. Seat the right-angle connector fully and tighten the locking collar by hand so it stays put as the boat moves.
Route the cable along existing wire runs where possible, leave a small service loop, and secure it so it cannot swing or chafe. Keep signal cabling away from high-current power runs when you can, and protect connections from drip paths inside the console.
Use on board
This cable is a good match for boaters running a compatible GPSMAP 4000 or 5000 series display who need an A/V connection but do not have room for a straight plug behind the unit. It is commonly used on helms with shallow dash cavities, flybridge pods, and refits where existing wiring channels are already crowded.
Maintenance and care
Periodically check that the locking collar is still snug and that the cable is not being pulled tight when the boat flexes or when access panels are opened. If the boat lives in a damp environment, inspect connectors for early corrosion and address any moisture intrusion around the console before it reaches the electronics bay.
