Overview
The Blue Sea Systems Mini OLED Tank Meter is a compact tank level display for 12V and 24V DC boat electrical systems, with an 8V-36V DC input range and a daylight-readable OLED screen that works well at the helm, cabin panel, or equipment area. It reads compatible resistive tank senders and displays tank level with 5% resolution, giving a simple view of onboard tank status without taking up much panel space.
The meter fits a common 1-1/8 in mounting hole, which makes it practical for new panels, refits, or replacing a small round gauge. It is reverse-polarity protected, draws only 17mA during operation, and supports common sender ranges including European 10-180 ohm and North American 240-33 ohm senders.
Key features
- OLED display that is waterproof and readable in daylight for use on exposed or semi-exposed boat panels.
- Works with 12V DC and 24V DC systems through an 8V-36V DC input range.
- Tank level reading with 5% resolution for a quick check of onboard fuel, water, or holding tank status when paired with a compatible sender.
- Compatible with European 10-180 ohm and North American 240-33 ohm resistive tank senders.
- Mounts in a common 1-1/8 in hole, helping it fit many marine dash and distribution panel layouts.
- Reverse-polarity protection adds a safeguard during wiring and service work.
- Low 17mA operating current helps keep panel monitoring loads modest on battery-powered systems.
- Rated for operation from -40°C to 70°C, covering engine-adjacent compartments, cabins, and outdoor panel locations.
Variants
This Mini OLED Tank Meter is offered in two color configurations, with the same product type and core tank-meter function across the range.
The variation is the display color. The electrical range, sender compatibility, mounting hole size, 5% resolution, operating current, and weight are consistent between the Yellow and Blue versions.
- 1739: Color Yellow. The yellow display gives a warm, high-contrast look that can stand out clearly on darker instrument panels.
- 1739200: Color Blue. The blue display matches well with many modern helm electronics and backlit switch panels.
Installation and setup
This meter is meant for panel mounting in a 1-1/8 in round opening, so it can be placed near other DC monitoring gear or close to the tank system being monitored. Wiring should be kept tidy and protected from strain, moisture paths, and vibration, especially on console panels and inside service compartments.
Before installation, confirm that the tank sender on board matches one of the supported resistive ranges. Matching the sender range matters more than the tank type, since the meter depends on the sender resistance to translate tank level into a readable display.
Compatibility and fit
This meter suits boats that use 12V or 24V DC electrical systems and compatible resistive tank senders. It is a good match for owners upgrading a small gauge location, adding a dedicated tank readout to a DC panel, or keeping tank monitoring separate from larger multifunction displays.
At 0.30 lb, the unit adds very little weight to a dash or panel. Its compact format is useful on center consoles, cruising sailboats, fishing boats, and small cabin boats where panel space is limited but a clear tank reading still matters.
