Overview
The Garmin 010-10193-02 is a TRIDUCER multisensor with a bronze thru-hull housing, a long stem, and a high-speed fairing block that reads depth, water temperature, and paddlewheel speed on 50/200 kHz (600 W) systems through a Garmin 6-pin connection.
At 50 kHz it uses a 45° beam for broader bottom coverage, and at 200 kHz it uses a 12° beam for tighter target detail. Depth performance is up to 353 m (1200 ft) at 50 kHz and up to 206 m (700 ft) at 200 kHz. The thru-hull requires a 51 mm (2 in) hole, the stem supports deadrise angles up to 24° when installed with the fairing, and the attached cable is 10 m (33 ft).
Key features
- Depth, speed, and fast-response water temperature in one thru-hull fitting
- Dual-frequency 50/200 kHz, 600 W element for use with compatible sounders
- Beamwidth: 45° at 50 kHz and 12° at 200 kHz
- High-speed fairing block supports solid bottom tracking at speeds up to 30 knots when installed correctly
- Long stem helps when the hull is thicker or has more deadrise, with support up to 24° using the fairing
- 51 mm (2 in) thru-hull hole size with a 10 m (33 ft) fixed cable
- Self-closing valve in the housing reduces water flow when the insert is removed for cleaning or service
- Speed operating range from 1 knot to 45 knots
- Bronze housing with a urethane acoustic window for consistent readings below the waterline
- Garmin 6-pin connector for direct connection to compatible Garmin sonar ports
Compatibility and fit
This transducer is for conventional 50/200 kHz sonar setups that support a 600 W transducer and use a Garmin 6-pin connection. Confirm your fishfinder or sonar module is built for 50/200 kHz transducers and check the transducer port style before ordering. The long-stem body is intended for fiberglass or wood hulls where extra thread engagement is needed, including cored hull sections.
Installation and setup
Plan on a true thru-hull install with a 51 mm (2 in) hole and a fairing block that is cut to match the deadrise at the mounting point so the sensing face sits parallel to the waterline. Choose a location in clean water that stays submerged at speed and avoids strakes, intakes, and other sources of turbulence. Align the housing to the boat centerline so the sensor faces forward, bed it with a below-the-waterline marine sealant, and route the cable up high and away from ignition sources and high-current wiring to limit interference.
Use cases on board
This unit fits boats that want one thru-hull to cover depth, temperature, and speed for coastal cruising and fishing. It is a practical choice on planing hulls that need better bottom tracking as speed comes up, and on thicker or cored hulls where a standard-stem fitting can come up short.
Maintenance and care
Keep the paddlewheel area clear of growth so speed stays accurate, especially after sitting at the dock. The insert can be removed for cleaning, and the internal valve helps limit water flow during service, but it is still smart to do this at the dock with proper precautions. If you paint the bottom, use a water-based antifouling that is safe for transducers and keep paint out of moving parts and the paddlewheel cavity.
