Overview
The Raymarine E26030 is a retractable nylon through-hull depth transducer for Raymarine instrument systems that use a 200 kHz depth signal. It is a depth-only transducer with a low-profile through-hull body, a 45 ft cable, and a 2 in installation hole, making it a practical replacement or new-install option for boats already set up around Raymarine ST40, ST60, ST60+, ST70, ST290, i40, i50, or i70 displays.
The retractable insert helps with routine service because the sensing element can be removed from the housing for cleaning or storage without pulling the entire through-hull fitting. That matters on boats that sit in the water for long periods, where growth on the transducer face can affect depth readings.
The plastic housing is suitable for fiberglass and aluminum hulls. Its nearly flush profile keeps exterior protrusion low, which helps reduce drag on powerboats and sailboats where a clean underwater shape is important.
Key features
- 200 kHz depth transducer for compatible Raymarine instrument displays.
- Depth-only configuration, with no speed or temperature function built into this transducer.
- Retractable through-hull insert allows easier cleaning and service while the housing remains installed.
- Plastic housing works with fiberglass and aluminum hulls.
- 45 ft cable gives useful routing length from the bilge or hull location to the instrument area.
- Requires a 2 in hull opening for installation.
- Low-profile body protrudes only slightly outside the hull to help limit drag.
- Compatible with Raymarine ST40, ST60, ST60+, ST70, ST290, i40, i50, and i70 instrument systems when the required interface hardware is used where applicable.
Installation and fit
This is a through-hull transducer, so the installation location should have clean water flow across the face and enough interior access for the housing, cable exit, retaining hardware, and future service. The 2 in hole size should be checked against the existing hull opening before replacing an older transducer.
On sailboats, it is commonly placed forward of the keel where it can read clean water before turbulence reaches the sensor. On powerboats, placement should avoid strakes, thru-hulls, prop wash, and trailer bunks. The right location helps the depth display stay stable at cruising speed and when maneuvering in shallow water.
Compatibility and system integration
The E26030 is intended for Raymarine instrument networks and displays that accept this 200 kHz depth transducer style. It is used with ST40, ST60, ST60+, and ST290 instruments, and it can also be integrated with ST70, i70, i40, and i50 systems when the proper Raymarine interface hardware is part of the installation.
Before ordering, match the transducer connection, cable route, and display or converter requirements to the boat’s existing instrument setup. This is especially important when moving between older ST-series instruments and newer Raymarine instrument displays.
Use cases on board
This transducer is a good match for owners who want dependable depth data for coastal cruising, club racing, fishing, or general piloting in shallow approaches. The retractable insert is useful for boats kept in saltwater or brackish water, where periodic cleaning can help maintain a steady reading.
