Overview
The Raymarine Low Profile Depth Only Thru-Hull Transducer is a depth-sensing transducer range for compatible Raymarine echo sounders and sonar modules, offered with either a plastic or bronze housing to suit different hull installation needs.
This transducer is made for a through-hull installation where a clean, low-drag profile matters, especially on sailboats and powerboats where protrusions below the hull can add turbulence. It operates at 50/200 kHz with a 600 W power rating and uses a 30 ft cable with connector for routing back to the sounder module.
It is a practical replacement or fit-out option for Raymarine systems such as DSM250, DSM300, DSM30, SL755RC, SL760RC, SL1250, SL1250RC, L755RC, L760, L760RC, L1250, L1250RC, L770D, L770DRC, L1260D, and L1260DRC. Before installation, the hull material, deadrise, cable route, and connector requirements should be checked against the vessel and display or sounder module.
Key features
- Depth-only thru-hull transducer range for compatible Raymarine echo sounders and sonar modules.
- Low-profile housing sits close to the hull to reduce drag and turbulence compared with larger external housings.
- Dual-frequency 50/200 kHz operation supports shallow-water detail and deeper bottom tracking.
- 600 W power rating for use with supported Raymarine sounder modules.
- 30 ft cable with connector gives useful routing length from the hull location to the electronics area.
- Available in plastic and bronze housing versions, so the material can be matched to the hull and installation plan.
- Commonly used on cruising boats, fishing boats, and sailboats where reliable depth information is needed without adding speed, temperature, or multifunction sensing.
Variants
This product is offered in two housing materials. Both versions are low-profile, depth-only thru-hull transducers for Raymarine sounder systems, with the main selection point being the transducer body material.
The shared depth function, 50/200 kHz frequency range, 600 W rating, and 30 ft cable are consistent across the range. Hull compatibility should still be checked by variant, because plastic and bronze housings are used for different installation requirements.
- E66013 is the plastic version. The non-metallic housing suits installations where the vessel, hull material, and installation instructions call for a plastic thru-hull body.
- E66014 is the bronze version. The bronze housing is commonly used for traditional thru-hull installations on suitable fiberglass or wood hulls where a metal body is preferred.
Installation and fit
This is a true thru-hull transducer, so installation requires drilling the hull and bedding the housing correctly below the waterline. The location should have clean water flow, enough inside clearance for the body and cable exit, and a practical cable path back to the Raymarine module without sharp bends or strain on the connector.
Because the product is depth-only, it is a good match when the boat already has other sensors for speed or temperature, or when the installation only needs bottom depth on a compatible Raymarine fishfinder, chartplotter, or sounder setup.
Compatibility and system use
This transducer range is intended for legacy Raymarine sounder platforms and selected compatible sonar modules. It is especially relevant for owners maintaining systems built around DSM30, DSM250, DSM300, SL Series, hsb2 Plus, and hsb2 HDFI equipment.
For newer Raymarine displays or sonar modules, an adapter may be required depending on the exact display and transducer connector. Matching the connector, module, and hull material before ordering helps avoid extra haul-out time or a transducer that cannot be used with the existing system.
