Overview
The Lumitec 112502 is a flush-mount LED downlight with white and red dimming for 10-30V DC systems. White output is 5000K at 150 lumens, with a 4W draw, so it fits cleanly into typical 12V and 24V house lighting circuits without needing a driver.
It is fully sealed to IP67 and certified ignition protected, which matters when the mounting location sees spray, washdowns, or fuel vapor areas. The small bezel (1.99 in diameter) and shallow mounting depth (0.43 in) make it a good fit for headliners, hard tops, and overhead panels where space behind the surface is tight.
Key features
- 10-30V DC input range (works on 12V and 24V systems) with a 4W rated draw.
- White mode output: 5000K, 150 lumens, CRI 70+.
- White and red dimming built into the light, with no external control modules or special switches required.
- IP67 sealed for wet locations and routine washdowns.
- Certified ignition protected for installations where ignition protection is required.
- Compact fit: 1.23 in cutout, 1.99 in overall diameter, 0.43 in mounting depth (0.72 in overall depth).
- Secure composite mounting system that locks the light into its mounting plate.
- Operating temperature range: -35C to +55C (-31F to +131F).
What’s included
- Orbit down light (brushed finish, white and red dimming)
- Mounting plate

Installation and fit
This is a true flush-mount downlight that installs through a 1.23 in cutout with a 1.99 in bezel on the finished side. Plan for 0.43 in of clearance behind the mounting surface for the body, which helps when you are working above liners, under a hard top, or in thin cabin overhead panels.
Mounting is straightforward: fasten the included mounting plate to the surface, connect to your vessel’s DC supply (the light is polarity sensitive), then insert and rotate the light until it locks in place. If your installation is in a high-vibration area, make sure the mounting surface is solid and the plate is seated flat before locking the light in.
Electrical and onboard control
The light runs directly from vessel DC power and can be controlled by a standard SPST on-off switch. Dimming and color control are handled in the light itself, so you do not need extra wire runs for separate color circuits.
For typical switch control behavior, cycling the power is used to step through functions, and an off time of a couple of seconds resets the light back to white the next time it is turned on. This is handy when multiple lights share a circuit and you want them to come up the same way after being shut down.
Use on board
White and red dimming works well in cabins, berths, helm areas, and under hard tops where you want bright task lighting in white and a red mode that is easier on night vision. It is also a good match for refits where you want a small, modern downlight that fits tight overhead spaces.
Care and placement
IP67 sealing covers normal rain, spray, and washdowns, but the light is not intended for permanent underwater mounting. Use normal marine wiring practices, keep connections protected in a dry area when possible, and avoid leaving exposed splices in overhead cavities where condensation can sit.
