Overview
The Garmin 010-02365-80 is a GPSMAP 743xsv 7 in chartplotter and fishfinder bundle that includes Garmin Navionics+ charts for the U.S. and Canada and a GMR 18 HD+ 18 in radome radar. At the helm you get a 1024 x 600 touchscreen display in a housing rated IPX7, with an overall unit size of 7.6 x 5.5 x 2.9 in and typical current draw of 1.1 A at 12 Vdc.
On the sonar side, the unit has built-in sonar support for Ultra High-Definition SideVü and ClearVü scanning plus 1 kW CHIRP traditional sonar. A compatible transducer is required for depth and fishfinding, and the system also supports Panoptix and LiveScope setups when you add the appropriate components.
The radar side is handled by the included GMR 18 HD+ dome, a 4 kW radome with up to 36 nm max range and 11 to 35 V DC power input. Radar overlay is supported, and pairing it with a heading sensor or autopilot improves overlay accuracy and enables features such as MARPA target tracking when the rest of the system supports it.
Key features
- 7 in touchscreen display with 1024 x 600 resolution, polarized sunglass support, and IPX7 water rating
- Preloaded Garmin Navionics+ charts for the U.S. and Canada on the included microSD card, with Auto Guidance+ and a 1-year update subscription
- Built-in sonar support for Ultra High-Definition SideVü and ClearVü scanning plus 1 kW CHIRP traditional sonar (compatible transducer required)
- Support for Panoptix and LiveScope live sonar systems when paired with compatible components
- Garmin Marine Network connection for radar and data sharing across compatible Garmin displays
- NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 connectivity for integration with autopilot, VHF and AIS, engine gateways, sensors, and audio systems
- Included GMR 18 HD+ radome radar: 4 kW transmit power, up to 36 nm max range, and radar overlay support
- Radar power input 11 to 35 V DC, with included 15 m power and network cables for typical arch, hardtop, or mast routing
Installation and setup
The GPSMAP 743xsv supports bail mount, flush mount, or flat mounting, which helps when you are replacing an older 7 in class display or working with limited dash depth. Plan cable routing before final mounting so the power lead, sonar cable, and network connections can be serviced without pulling the unit back out of the dash.
The GMR 18 HD+ mounts on a radar arch, hardtop, or mast platform using the included mounting template and hardware. Keeping the dome clear of outriggers, antennas, and tall rails reduces blind spots and helps keep the radar picture consistent when you are running in traffic or in reduced visibility.
Electrical and system integration
The chartplotter’s typical draw is 1.1 A at 12 Vdc, and it is normally wired to a clean electronics feed through appropriate circuit protection. The radar is powered separately and accepts 11 to 35 V DC, so it fits both 12 V and 24 V boats as long as the supply is stable and wiring is sized for the run.
For networking, the radar connects over Garmin Marine Network using the included cable, and the display can tie into existing NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 systems for shared data such as AIS targets, autopilot control, and engine information when supported by the connected equipment. If you are building a network from scratch, you will want a properly terminated NMEA 2000 backbone; the included T-connector and drop cable are meant to connect the display to an existing backbone.
Who this is a good match for
This package makes sense for boaters who want charting, sonar, and radar in one helm setup without piecing the system together item by item. It is a solid fit for center consoles, walkarounds, pilothouse boats, and cruising sailboats that want radar for night runs and fog work while still keeping a compact 7 in footprint at the dash.
