Overview

The TACO Marine V30-0202B10-1 is a black 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch weather seal tape supplied in a 10 ft length for sealing openings and covers on boats. The seal uses an EDPM synthetic rubber compound with a sponge rubber profile and medium closed-cell density. Its self-adhesive backing helps it sit in place during installation, while the rubber compresses to help reduce leaks, rattling and impact between contact surfaces.

Installation and fit

Before installation, the mounting surface should be clean, dry and free of old adhesive, salt, wax or grease. A careful test fit is useful before removing the backing, especially around corners, hatch frames or box lids where the seal needs to compress evenly.
