Overview
The Garmin BlueNet Network Cable is the primary cable used to connect Garmin BlueNet devices to one another as part of a Garmin marine network. It is used for typical onboard electronics interconnects where devices share network data, such as linking a BlueNet chartplotter, network switch, gateway, radar, sonar module, or other BlueNet-enabled equipment.
Lengths span from short jumpers like 0.3 m (1 ft) and 2 m (6.5 ft) up through 6 m (20 ft), 12 m (40 ft), and 15 m (50 ft), plus a 150 m (500 ft) bulk spool for custom runs. For layout and routing, a single cable run should not exceed 87 m (285 ft), and if a coupler is used to extend a run, it should not include more than one coupler.

The 150 m (500 ft) bulk option is intended for custom-length installs and requires field install connectors to terminate the cable ends.
Installation and setup
Route the cable like other low-voltage networking on a boat: keep it supported, avoid sharp edges, and leave enough service loop to unplug equipment without straining the connectors. On helm refits, the right-angle options are useful when the device is close to a bulkhead and a straight connector would force a tight bend right at the port.
If you need to extend a run, plan the total distance carefully and keep the number of in-line extensions to a minimum. For custom routing on larger vessels, the bulk cable can be cut to the exact path, then terminated once both end locations are confirmed.
Compatibility and fit
These cables are for Garmin devices that use Garmin BlueNet network ports. If your system includes legacy Garmin Marine Network equipment, it typically cannot be connected directly to a Garmin BlueNet chartplotter or a Garmin BlueNet 20 switch without the appropriate gateway or adapter solution, so confirm the network type at each device before ordering cable lengths.
