Overview
The Garmin 010-11057-00 is a twist-lock ECU power cable for the GHP 10 marine autopilot system, used to bring battery power to the Electronic Control Unit.
One end has a locking-ring connector that mates to the ECU, and the other end is bare-wire leads for a direct connection at the boat battery (red positive, black negative). The battery side includes an in-line fuse holder and the circuit is intended to be protected at 40 A. The GHP 10 installation wiring is based on 12 Vdc systems, and 24 Vdc operation depends on the ECU version in the system.

Installation and setup
Route the connector end to the ECU and the bare-wire end back to the battery, keeping the run supported and protected anywhere it passes through bulkheads, rigging tubes, or machinery spaces. Leave a little service loop at the ECU so the connector can be accessed without putting strain on the cable.
For the final hook-up sequence, connect the black wire to battery negative first, then connect the red wire to battery positive, and connect the cable to the ECU last. Keep the in-line fuse holder in place when making the battery connection.
Compatibility and fit
This power cable is intended for the ECU used in Garmin GHP 10 autopilot installations that use the twist-lock power connection at the ECU. It is not a NMEA 2000 power lead and it does not replace the CCU/ECU interconnect cable.
If your autopilot system has a different ECU power connector style, confirm the mating connector at the ECU before ordering, since the ECU end of the cable is specific to the twist-lock interface.
Electrical and system integration
Direct battery connection is the typical approach for the ECU power feed. If the power is taken from a terminal block or another distribution point, keep it on a 40 A protected circuit. If you want helm switching or breaker control, routing the ECU feed through an appropriately sized relay and using a smaller control wire to the helm helps avoid extending a high-current run through the boat.
When the supplied length does not reach, extend the run with properly sized marine wire and sealed splices, using the wire gauge guidance for the total added length. This helps limit voltage drop and keeps the pump and ECU from acting sluggish when the autopilot is working hard in current or sea state.
Maintenance and care
After the first few trips, re-check the battery terminals for tightness and look over the cable path for chafe points. In saltwater boats, a quick inspection at seasonal service for corrosion at the battery lugs and water intrusion around the fuse holder keeps the power feed dependable.
