Overview
This Vimar USB-C keystone adaptor is a USB-C female-to-female coupler that fits a standard keystone panel opening. It gives you a clean pass-through point when a USB-C cable needs to come through a dash panel, cabin joinery panel, nav station, or similar surface without leaving a loose cable hanging out.
That makes it useful for charging access and cable pass-through in spots where the visible side of the installation needs to stay tidy. The adaptor format suits modular keystone layouts, and the range is offered in gray or white so the insert can sit more naturally alongside nearby switching and outlet trim.
Key features
- USB-C female-to-female connection for joining two USB-C cables through a panel
- Fits standard keystone panels
- Works as a fixed access point for charging or data pass-through
- Available in gray or white to match surrounding trim more closely
Variants
This adaptor comes in two color configurations.
The change between variants is the visible finish color, which lets the insert blend more cleanly with surrounding panels and trim. The USB-C female-to-female keystone format remains the same across the range.
- VM-KEYSTONE-C-B: Gray. This keeps the insert less noticeable on darker switch panels and trim.
- VM-KEYSTONE-C-W: White. This keeps the insert visually consistent on lighter interior panels and faceplates.
Compatibility and fit
Fit depends on the keystone opening in the panel or faceplate rather than on boat make or model. This is a pass-through insert, not a powered USB charger, so it is used where a cable needs to terminate neatly at the panel and continue on the back side with a second USB-C lead.
Installation and setup
In new builds and refit work, it can be mounted in the same kind of keystone panel used for other low-voltage connections. Once snapped into place, one USB-C cable connects at the rear and the second connects at the front, leaving a finished access point on the cabin or helm side of the installation.
Use on board
This type of insert suits boats that need a simple USB-C access point near a berth, saloon seating, chart table, or helm electronics area. It also makes sense in lockers and service spaces where a panel-mounted pass-through is easier to manage than a loose cable run.
