Overview
The Vimar ARKÉ Series is a range of RJ45 network modules for structured wiring points, covering both keystone adaptors and Cat 6 UTP outlets in the ARKÉ format. Across the range, the front finish is available in grey, metal, or white, and the port is protected by either a dust cap or a dust cover depending on version.
For onboard Ethernet runs, the difference between the two module types is practical. The adaptor versions accept RJ45 Keystone connectors and measure 22.20 x 49.00 x 20.20 mm, while the outlet versions are Cat 6 unshielded modules with T568A/B universal wiring, 8 contacts, and insulation-piercing terminals. That lets you keep a consistent ARKÉ look across cabin, helm, or nav-station data points while choosing the connection style that fits the installation.
Key features
- ARKÉ-format network modules for structured wiring installations
- Range includes both RJ45 keystone adaptors and Cat 6 UTP outlets
- Cat 6 outlet versions use T568A/B universal wiring with 8 contacts and insulation-piercing terminals
- Front port protection is built in, with either a dust cap or a dust cover depending on version
- Available in grey, metal, and white to match surrounding switchgear and trim
Variants
This range changes in two ways: finish and front hardware. The same ARKÉ styling is offered in grey, metal, and white, and each finish is available either as an RJ45 keystone adaptor with dust cap or as a Cat 6 UTP outlet with dust cover.
Because the range includes both adaptor and outlet versions, the connection method is not the same across every option. Keystone versions are used with separate RJ45 Keystone inserts, while Cat 6 outlet versions are the terminated data outlet itself.
Compatibility and installation
These modules are best suited to protected interior mounting points where you want a clean Ethernet connection at the panel rather than a loose coupler or patch lead behind the trim. On a boat that usually means the nav station, helm console, cabin bulkhead, equipment locker, or another dry location inside the accommodation or enclosed bridge.
Check that the installation uses the matching ARKÉ support and cover plate format before ordering. When the system already uses a preferred keystone jack, the adaptor versions keep that flexibility. When the goal is to terminate the network cable directly at the faceplate, the Cat 6 outlet versions keep the wiring point in one module.
Use on board
This range works well in refit and new-build projects where the Ethernet run serves onboard Wi-Fi hardware, cameras, PCs, smart TVs, or other networked equipment in protected spaces. It suits installers and owners who want the data outlet to match the surrounding ARKÉ devices without mixing face styles across the interior.
