Overview

The Vimar ARKÉ Series is a 2-pole normally open push button with key for circuits up to 16 A at 250 V, with the key removable only in the OFF position. It is a built-in ARKÉ device with snap fastening, a thermoplastic body, a matt finish, and IP40 protection.

This control format is useful where the circuit should close only while the button is pressed and where access to the control point should stay limited. On board, that usually points to protected interior panels such as enclosed helm, cabin, or service areas rather than open locations exposed to spray.

Variants

This range is offered in grey, metal, and white versions. The grey and white options use an untreated matt surface, while the metal option uses a lacquered matt surface.

The listed configurations also split between versions with a 000 unified key and versions with a removable key format. Across the range, the core device stays the same as a 2P NO keyed push button with the same 16 A, 250 V rating, built-in snap mounting, thermoplastic body, and IP40 protection.

Installation and fit

This device is made for built-in mounting and locks into place with snap engagement. Because it belongs to the ARKÉ modular family, it fits best where the switch location is already set up for matching ARKÉ components and trim.

Its 43.5 mm depth is worth checking before ordering, especially in refit work where panel space is tight and wiring is already packed behind the mounting point. The IP40 housing also makes it a better match for dry, protected spaces inside the boat.

Use on board

This push button suits interior control points that need restricted activation, such as service functions or equipment commands that should not be left open to casual use. It also makes sense for refit or new-build work where the rest of the switching layout already uses the Vimar ARKÉ platform and a keyed momentary control is needed to match.
