Overview

The Vimar Idea 16101 is a 1-pole normally open push button from the Idea modular range, with a 16 A, 250 V AC rating and IP40 protection for sheltered interior installations. It uses a built-in snap mounting format and measures 24.8 x 50.1 x 39.3 mm, which helps when panel space is tight.

This is a momentary control, so the contact closes while the button is pressed and returns when released. On board, that suits panel functions that call for a spring-return action rather than a maintained on or off position.

The body is thermoplastic with a matte finish and halogen-free construction. Because the front is rated IP40, it belongs in protected interior locations such as cabin panels, utility spaces, or a covered helm console, not in areas exposed to spray or washdowns.

This product is offered in two color configurations within the same Idea push-button format.

Across these versions, the switching function, electrical rating, mounting method, and IP40 protection stay the same. The visible difference is the button color.

• VM16101: Color Grey. This version has a darker face that blends with grey switch surrounds and darker interior trim.
• VM16101.B: Color Ivory. This version has a lighter face that suits ivory or light-toned switch surrounds.

Compatibility and fit

This push button belongs to the Vimar Idea system, so it should be matched with the correct Idea mounting support and cover plate parts. That matters on refits, because the external look can be similar across switch families while the mechanical fit is not.

It is a conventional wired push button, not a sealed deck switch and not a networked control keypad. It suits boats already using Vimar Idea interior devices or new protected-panel installations where a simple momentary contact is needed.
