Overview

The Vimar Plana Series is a 3-module Italian-standard P17/11 outlet with an interlocked 1P+N C16 RCBO for 230 V AC circuits. The outlet is rated at 16 A, the residual-current trip level is 10 mA, and the breaking capacity is 3000 A. Its body measures 44.8 x 49 x 56.3 mm, so it fits where panel depth matters.

This combines the socket and local fault protection in one device, which helps when the outlet position itself needs dedicated protection and there is limited room behind the panel. It mounts flush, uses snap engagement, and connects through screwed terminals. Enhanced contact protection is built in, and the housing is thermoplastic with a glossy finish.

For marine use, this belongs in dry interior spaces such as cabins, galleys, navigation areas, or utility panels where a 230 V AC outlet in the Italian P17/11 format is required. Its IP20 rating means it is not meant for exposed deck locations, washdown areas, or other places that take spray. It is also not a 12 V or 24 V DC device.

Variants

This product is offered in two finish options within the same Plana format.

The visible finish changes between variants. The electrical layout, 3-module size, flush-mounted installation, screwed terminals, 16 A outlet rating, 10 mA RCBO protection, 3000 A breaking capacity, and IP20 protection remain the same across both versions.

• VM14283: White finish in untreated glossy thermoplastic, RAL 9003. This keeps the outlet face neutral on white interior panels and other spaces where the wiring accessories are kept visually discreet.
• VM14283.SL: Silver finish in lacquered glossy thermoplastic, RAL 9006. This changes the visible look of the outlet face while keeping the same electrical format and mounting footprint.

Compatibility and fit

This unit is part of the Vimar Plana range and occupies 3 modules. It uses the Italian Bipasso P17/11 socket pattern, so plug compatibility should be checked against the boat's AC standard before ordering or installation.

It suits refits and new interior panels where a protected AC outlet is needed without giving up extra module space for a separate outlet body. Because the protection is built into the receptacle assembly, the device is especially relevant where the outlet location needs its own local safeguard.

Installation and setup

The outlet mounts flush and fastens by snap engagement, with screwed terminals at the rear. That makes it straightforward to place in a finished panel when the surrounding installation already follows the Plana module format.

On a boat, the practical fit is in enclosed accommodation areas with 230 V AC service and a dry mounting position. Back-box depth, panel clearance, and the vessel's AC wiring layout should be checked before installation.
